The Swedish model which I studied is a very perfect example of a wellfare state. However, the swedes are taking the wrong direction and trying to look the same as the united states. @stickmedia1 First, pick up a pimsleur audio course, these are a good introduction into a foreign language. In addition, I highly recommend using Rosetta Stone, a nice and intuitive computer program for learning languages. The best thing would be to just visit sweden for a few months or so, it's slightly more difficult than english, but not as difficult as e.g. german.

Men visst, samerna var först till Norrland, vikingarna tog sig inte längre än till typ Östersund eller något i den stilen om jag kommer ihåg rätt, vad gäller det moderna Sverige. Dock var germanska samlarfolk långt före samerna i vårt nuvarande geografiska Sverige i sin helhet. Detta p.g.a. att landisen hindrade bebyggelse särskilt långt norrut.

The lesson about Sweden is not that we're economically developed (US has been richer than Sweden per capita for a long time) but that we have decent equality and communal guarantees - free health-care, education, regulated work-hours, social security etc.

In addition, I highly recommend using Rosetta Stone, a nice and intuitive computer program for learning languages. The best thing would be to just visit sweden for a few months or so, it's slightly more difficult than english, but not as difficult as e.g. german.
