@TheDokaDoka Because the market route does not call for a first class product. Airlines follow trends and demands, they just dont randomly stick cabin products on every single route. They have to be smart and SIA is smart, thats why they are always making profits

This SQ Airbus 345 use to fly from LAX to SIN directly and it had first class and economy class and it was amazing and now SQ is crap because the rich people have complained about having to fly with the economy class on this flight now SQ has made it into an all buisness class... and it pisses me off SQ has dropped from #1 to # 4...Promises of SQ is crap so basically now I have to fly with SQ from LAX @ 1pm to NRT to SIN arriving at 1am and wait 7 to 8hrs for flight to CGK @ 8am...sucks
SIA never had first class on the a345's. It used to be Business class and Executive Economy. SIA converted the a345's to an all Business class product because they depend on the premium cabin to make a profit. Yields in Executive Economy were low, SIA eliminated it. Rich people had nothing to do with it bud, its the economy.
What about Concorde? Singapore Airlines used to operate one (albeit with BA's livery on one side). What would they have named her if they had owned her?

The A380, if given its unique name, is speculated to have been dubbed with the moniker, "GigaTop." Equally interesting to its current nickname of Whalejet.
Neiliard86, the SIN-SYD flight has been going on since late October. The LHR flight just started in March. And yes, the IFE is world-class, but SIA has launched an eve better one just over a year ago. A great way to fly indeed!
@rc1113 It used to be on YouTube as far as I know, they took it down I think. I saved a copy to my hard drive on November 3rd, 2008 and still have it on my computer.

Concorde.....I'm not sure. Since it was done in cooperation with BA, maybe it was never given a name. But I can't be too sure.
