I would stare at those tanks all day if i could. They are just so entertaining to me. Wish I could get a bigger size tank, but i am content with my 10 gallon tank to my bedside. haha
hi everyone! i'd appreciate if you could check out my tank video. You can comment to tell me what you think, post links to your tank videos, or comment any questions you have about fish so i can answer them for you!
WHOA!!!! And my classmates freak out when they see my 36 gal on my desk XD. Though the tanks are bare for my taste, your fish seem to be in good health :)
fish in your first tank seem to be very energetic and full of life, but i hate tanks with no cover and too many fish. Even though it may not be overpopulated...dos cents
hahah when me and my friend go to college together were gonna have a 125 a 75 a 150 and a 55. too bad the 350 weighs 600lbs empty or we'd have that too
Ya same here I've got a 90 gallon and a 55 and about to purchase my last one my 155 bowfront that one will be my salt water tank.....and in my other ones are freshwater, cichlids
Kids should stop buying cds and buy music from bands who sell their own music and support themselves without record companies, otherwise USE PIRATE BAY.....
They really think they should make money from us being able to hear a song temporarily on a short video made by a youtuber who is not profiting off it whatsoever?
Go and fucking die music police. WMG can go and burn in hell. You record companies steal money from musicians. You are the thieves. Not the public. You're not gonna see another cent from me.
Hey just out of curiosity, what kind of stand do you keep the two 55's on. Im trying to build my own and I just wanted to know what your using. Thanks
When I was in college, longer ago than I care to admit, I kept a 10 gallon tank which was pretty much the norm for anybody who had a tank in their dorm room. Back then a 29 or even a 20 gallon was considered huge for a dorm.
@TheGodMasterful your an idiot. All the tanks combine to make a total 145 gallons. Why dont you read the description? or even the title for freaking petes sake.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
It looks like that the Americans like all those colorful, artificial gravels & decorations while in Europe (or at least Poland) no one has such a tank.
No. here are plenty of people here that hate the look of that gravel. The most my dad would let me do with my fish was blue. I have black gravel now, though.
looks over stocked.. when u go to the pet store look at the tag describing the fish and it might have a mesurement telling you how many inches it is. if ur fish tank is 55 gallons its best to not go over but u can go over 1 or 2 inches.. i have one gourimas 2glass fish 1glofish and 1zebra fish in a 10 gallon tank, its about one to two inches overstocked which is ok.. good luck with ur fishys!!
Why would you give such a large tank to Mollys? I would put my Black Ghost Knife fish in that tank with my Gar. And every tank looks good with a Placo and live plants. You do have very nice tank setups though Good video.
I know its 2 years later, but that green spotted puffer can NOT live in a 5 gallon tank. It needs 30, at least, so its growth isn't stunted. Not to mention its water parameters will go South VERY quickly in that tiny tank.
damn dont u ever get lazy to clean all those tanks... blance maintenace and studying lol... I thought Aquriums and pets arent allowed to be kept in dorms... 0_o how did u get away with keeping all those tanks in there or even bringing it inthe dorm 0_o
Any ways I think that tank with Mutily colored gravel cud use a bit more work.
But i like the idea of you keeping many tanks in ur dorm! Must be relaxing when faced with the stress of skool.
NICE! i like all that crammed in one room. chicks love it haha. i think your red oscar will eat your other cichlids when he gets bigger. mine got 10 inches and i had to get rid of him b/c my tank was too small. cool fish! keep it up
nice tanks and fish but african cichlids and south american cichlids shouln't be together and if you arent adding marine salt to your green spotted puffers tank it will die
Firs, they all need backgrounds.Second, they all need more decorations.Third, they are all overstocked.Fourth,African cichlids should not be mixed with South & Cenral American cichlids.
It looks like you are a newbie to fish keeping and have a lot to learn.
Decorations are unnecessary as long as there is a place to get away from 'traffic'
Yes, the tanks are horribly overstocked but most 'enthusiasts' do this due to a lack of actual space. As long as they aren't dying and there's sufficient filtration its ok.
African chichlids are more aggressive, so yes, you're right.
This person does have a lot to learn, but people learn best by experience. Unfortunately, this experience is going to cost this person a lot.
I know background and decorations are 'unnecessary' but those tanks look horrible. The fact that they are overstocked means that they will be constantly stressed, and all the filtration in the world will not help fish die in an overstocked tank. This experience won't cost this person a thing,it will cost the fish their lives.
So buying the fish didn't cost this person anything? You're right, how silly of me.
Fish are fish, as cruel as that sounds. People kill them every day. At least this reject thinks they're keeping healthy fish instead of the people who cram bettas into tiny bowls.
Yeah, the fish will die, but they're not my fish and I've learned long ago that telling people what they're doing wrong with their fish tanks makes them ignore you even more.
And you sleep in the middle of all that? That would be pretty cool I think. The pumps might get annoying but such nice scenery to fall asleep to. Nice and peaceful.
Yeah, my school allows fish only and no more than 5g. I made good friends with an RA and was able to keep a 20 with a 6.6 shelf tank. I had to sell my other cichlids though... :(
for a cichlid they are generally regarded as peaceful but they are individuals and there isalways the odd agressive one. also when they are growing up what you feed them can mae them more agressive, such as feeders. if you feed them a good staple commercial food suah as hikari cichlid gold or wardley cichlids pellets and others they can be more peaceful. if they grow up with agressive fish or by themselves thy can get agressive, but if they grow up with peaceful fish they can become more peacefu
Actually, if you knew anything about fish or the biology of home aquaria, they would. The bioload would get too high, and the amount of ammonia (present in fish food and fish waste) would too much to handle for the good bacteria that converts manageable amounts of ammonia into nitrite and then nitrate. Even with more frequent water changes, the tank would be very unstable, and the fish could die from poisoning from any of the three chemicals.
You're right, 5 gallons is far too small for two goldfish. If you're not breaking the rules then tell your RA to go stuff it, if you are then it may be time to find a new home for at least one of them. Even one in a 5 gallon is going to be cramped and need lots of water changes. Good luck!

"Actinic" lights are the blue colored bulbs, usually used in saltwater reefs for brightening coral colors. You can also hook up a blue LED or two on the hood for night viewing.
do you do anything or worry about the hardness of the water and ph levels? or do you just do partial water changes every week?i want some plattys and guppies together but idk if the water hardness should really be neccesary or if i can just put normal treated water and the fish will live. any advice??????
mine won't breed. how can i get them to breed. ik they usually are great breeders and i have bred them before so i want to know why mine won't. i am a guppy breeder of pure strain guppies and i have had mollies a while. they ar marble mollies. what can i do??
some mollys take up to 6 weeks to give birth.my mollys just gave birth and it was like,(5 or 6weeks)so bye a few more females and just a few more males if you want allot of babys.
I moved four of my one month old mollie fry to a 10 gal tank to see how they develop in there ( I have like 18 of them fry), but they got stock in the filter during the night. They died because of that. What tipe of filter do you recomnend me.
If you want to keep true fresh water puffers, I recommend The dwarf puffer(Carinotetraodon travancoricus), red-eye puffer(Carinotetraodon irrubesco),or the peruvian puffer(Colomesus asellus).
The green spotted puffer(Tetraodon nigroviridis) is a brackish( 3/4 sea water) to marine fish. Keeping it in fresh water for prolong period of time will kill the puffer. Read "Brackish Water Fish" by Neale Monks for more info.
The best tank out of all these is the Oscar tank put in and add more cichild to Ur tanks they are a lot better

Thank god you're not my roommate. I couldn't stand having all my space taken up by fish.

Drake only allows 10 gallon fish tanks. How do you stay in the dorm over the summer? They kick us out.

I moved four of my one month old mollie fry to a 10 gal tank to see how they develop in there ( I have like 18 of them fry), but they got stock in the filter during the night. They died because of that. What tipe of filter do you recomnend me.

If you want to keep true fresh water puffers, I recommend The dwarf puffer(Carinotetraodon travancoricus), red-eye puffer(Carinotetraodon irrubesco),or the peruvian puffer(Colomesus asellus).
odcoolshark75 3 years ago
The green spotted puffer(Tetraodon nigroviridis) is a brackish( 3/4 sea water) to marine fish. Keeping it in fresh water for prolong period of time will kill the puffer. Read "Brackish Water Fish" by Neale Monks for more info.
