@TKbassboomer On the contrary his latest work at guitar clinics is more jazzy than when he was in megadeth. The chords, the licks, all very John McLaughlin-esque. Don't know why you say he isn't jazz anymore. Every interview I've seen with him he's mentioned being influenced by jazz and fusion.

Nah, no one hates you. I also agree with you. Marty and Nick are great musicians, and that was an amazing line-up as well as some others. But the Chris-Gar-Ellefson-Dave line up is simply the best. Gar is probably the best drummer Megadeth has ever had. Chris is just great and underrated. Good thing ellefson is back.

@Chester1004 Marty and Chris are the two greatest thrash lead players ever but in very different ways. Marty has the influences from Far Eastern music and Chris has the Jazz influences. You would think it shouldn't really work in a band like Megadeth but credit to Dave for spotting the potential in those styles because those two guys piss over everything else in that genre with ease.

Gar was the best drummer for these guys he bought massive amounts of groove to Megadeth. Chris Poland best Megadeth lead guitarist. Ellefson and Mustaine just speak for them selfs. They're the best. I love the RIP line up but it doesn't compare to the first. I find myself listening to Killing is my Buisness and Peace Sells a hell of a lot more than Rust in Peace.
