SO THANKFUL that at least for right now we don't have to "swallow" what Mainstream media is telling us. We can get on youtube and watch REAL people and REAL footage of events!! Thank you youtube!!!!for now.....
@phoenix11994466 How could he blunder his own oil reserves? Libyan people had it good. I can't believe your comment are you under the illusion the West over there dropping peace bombs like they don't harm anyone? They bombing for greed its an enterprise for the West's elite. While their own Countries loose jobs, bail out banks, cuts & price hikes. They only care & see to their own kind & this unjust in Libya should waken people up to their lies.
@Angela3083 The word should have been 'Plundered' not 'Blundered' a simple typo....But yes, my synopsis of Gadaffi is correct...Besides, 32 countries including the United Nations, Russia and China all agreed as well... Are you so arrogant as to think you are right and they are wrong?
@phoenix11994466 Well depends on who flys with the crows the majority don't make it right. I am not being arrogant at all, but I know history & plundering Countries was allowed back then that was the superiority right & accepted it would not be accepted these days so they have to create a horror to blind us from their sins. Russia has spoke out against it so has China resolution 1973 is not a license to kill. Not all UN agreed at all, far from it, read up u will find out the truth, please.
@Angela3083 Sir stay focused, I believe you are the one who needs to educate yourself about history... Also your ramblings are are falling off the tracks.. My original point was about Gadaffi treating Libya's oil reserves as his own personal ATM cash-machine, and pointed out the real reason the the US and NATO ganged up on him...Which was his plans to upset the status-quo, by introducing a new Pan-African currency to displace the USD, and demanding GOLD for oil in stead of the US Petrodollar
@phoenix11994466 Im not competing with you, I'd hope you would share the knowledge without charge.Gaddaffi rose from the desert without anything, no sanitary, his parents were illiterate but he housed Libya before him & his parents when he took over. His family made their own money through business deals but still are modest .We in UK have Monarchy, castles & such through hereditary not hard work thats the difference. Gaddaffi deserves to put his feet up he earned it & saw to others on the way.
@Angela3083 Gadaffi came from humble beginnings that much is true... But he was an opportunist (nothing wrong with that)...But unfortunately he murdered his way way into power..It could be said he was there at the right place, at the right time...When foreign oil companies developed the oil fields, Gadaffi won the lotto, and paid himself several hundred Billion Dollars, which is my original point..And the only way he could plunder Libya's wealth, was to dominate everything in Libya which he did
@Angela3083 You seem to be painting Gadaffi as a some sort of savior of Libya, when in fact the opposite is true... In case you haven't noticed , he's just fucked everyone over, and destroyed Libya big time... Could it be you've become the victim of Gadaffi's propaganda machine...It's ironic that he called his opponents GREASY RATS, yet he himself was as cunning as a SHIT HOUSE RAT..Rebel forces discovered 45 kilometers of tunnels underneath Tripoli with many exits, one of which at the Airport
@phoenix11994466 If you can't see that the West ,NATO are the terrorists here that's your problem. The rebels are on NATO payroll. They are savages commiting vile crimes that the mainstream media not reporting. The oil deals are 1st & foremost its an enterprise for the West. Propoganda jezzo Ive never heard the dramas like the West coming out with it like a Hollywood cheap movie. We seem to differ so leave it at that.
@Angela3083 I'm sorry I can't help you, you're too far gone, too brainwashed, and trapped by your belief system... Besides you wouldn't have the intelligence to educate yourself and escape from your imprisoned mind .... You see yourself as the victim in every situation.. .Life must be hell for you, but know that it's all self imposed
@phoenix11994466 Sorry you are wrong you don't have to have a high IQ to see through the theft of Libya. Victim no , survivor yes. What would category do you classify yourself I would like to know?
@phoenix11994466 who's supplying these rebels weapons? Sure looks high tech did they just out of the blue invent all of it...no it came from NATO / USA
US military has a history of using Terrorists like AL Qaeda to fight wars for them, example they hired Bin Laden to fight the soviets in the 80's in Afghanistan
@pgbcca1 If you look close they are Russian made AK 47's and Russian RPG's... The old style anti-aircraft machine guns mounted onto 4x4 wagons, are all Russian as well... So I'm not sure what you're actually trying to say...Besides it's all over, haven't you heard..Gadaffi is trapped and his spokesman wants to negotiate, but the ILG has turned him down, and doubled the bounty on his head, dead or alive...
Last time i checked most Politicians end up making millions, I don't know of any broke American President, governors etc. Free housing and Health care wish i had that.
@Skyjuice70 - Speaking of making comments about things you know nothing about, have you ever been to Tripoli? I have. Did you speak with anyone there during the bombing or over the past week? I did - extensively. Iraq wasn't just the Bush Administration - most Democrats, including Hillary, voted to go to war on Iraq, and Obama has conducted that war - which has been funded by a Democratic Congress for four years and continues to be funded by a Democratic Senate - since 1/20/09. Puleeze...
@dondebar Yes, you're correct, most Democrats INCLUDING Hillary voted for the war on Iraq. But why did they vote on it???? Because of the BUSH administration that falsified the intelligence about WMD to the entire world. You have short term memory loss? As far as Tripoli is concerned, no, I haven't been there but I've been to several countries in the middle east and I'm a Iraq Vet. Visiting a country and living in a country are two very different things buddy. Its called a round trip ticket.
"We have been at war with the whole planet for the10 years over two airplanes knocking down two buildings ???" lol..You are so full of it, i can smell it from my computer screen. We invaded Iraq and Afganistan..Iraq was a huge blunder by the Bush admin. Unless you have direct inside information on what the DOD (Department of Defense) does as far as military operations, dont make comments you know nothing about.
What a farse !!! Mr Don Debar, what you have failed so miserably to realize is that the people are rising up against the current regime in Libya because of its lack of human rights. What about true democracy and the rights for people to demonstrate or protest when they have an issue with the government? Visiting Tripoli and living there are two entirely different things. Be glad you live in a country that you can freely voice your opinion without worrying if the govt is coming to get you.
Not sure what country you live in but i live in the U.S and there are plenty of stuff you can say to have the govt. come after you. History proves this.... This reminds me of G.W Bush's Mission Accomplished banner, because even though they say that everyone is against Gadhafi and that they have taken over Tripoli, there is still fighting going on. Looks like one side is getting all the media's attn. and support, the side they want us to support.
@YeskaSmoke Yes..there are things you cant say like, making threats to a public official or anyone for that matter or yell the words, "Fire" in a inclosed environment when there is none but here in this country (United States) you can freely voice your opinion about policy in a peaceful manner and you will not be hunted down. Try that in a place like Cuba and see how long you last. FYI, I live right here in the US and I'm a vet....people like us do what we do so you can voice your opinion.
@Skyjuice70 Right like the Dixie Chicks did, when anyone said anything against Bush or the war they were labeled Unpatriotic or un-American. And Nothing against the military but i wouldn't say its the reason i get to voice my opinion, id give credit to MLK, Rosa Parks, and other involved in social movements. i will give credit to the military for me being able to fill up my car with foreign gas/oil. Not to say its the military but its leaders/politicians who put money over people. I.e Katrina.
Glad he called out Democracy Now. They completely left that girl (Khan) hanging with her reports in Libya. They gave the Egyptian producer extra shows to talk about nothing.
The allegation "peddled" in regard to life in Libya was not that the social benefits weren't sufficient, but rather, that political speech would get one jailed and tortured and/or that the justice system did not provide justice; isn't that true? These could amount to motivations to rebel even in a situation of economic plenty for most people. This is not to say anything in favor of CIA or NATO intervention of any kind. Just pointing out a weakness in your argument to the economic plenty.
The problem is that Col. Qadd was seen as a strategic bastion for hopefully representing the future rebirth of socialism/communism. He was clearly 'there guy' to support. Thus, if the 'west' is involved in supporting the opposition, for whatever reason, it does not matter what truth Qadd's oppressive dictatorial civil inequality among different groups being conducted in Libya. It is irrelevant because the West/US is involved? You know what? Russia/China corps will exploit Libyan oil too!
And now Democracy Now is beating the war drums for war on Syria! At the same time they do these elaborate antiwar segments. Unbelievable hypocrisy.

this bbc article says France dropped them weapons - there are NATO bases in France - bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-13955751
russia giving them weapons makes no sense as Putin has said he doesn't support this - nytimes.com/2011/04/27/world/europe/27putin.html
