What kind of memory card do you have?

@stonedraughn i have a madcatz 64MB card. all the games and files and i still have like 30MB left. it has only messed up on 2 games. one was the punisher, it would save fine but when trying to load it said file corrupted, and on NCAA football 03 it wont load unless you load it manually from the memory card menu. also since it isnt sony, it takes about twice as long for files to save and load for games. but its a lot better than trying to remember what games are on which memory card

@stonedraughn maybe about $25-30 i would guess. i bought mine awhile back for $40 i think. look online or on ebay for a 64MB card. even the 32M cards arent bad to have tho. if you think about it, thats like having 4 memory cards. the bigger ones are nice because most sports games take up almost a whole card so you can now have all your sports games on one card

@fgtxpaco7458ss 3000hp on the mini i am pretty sure is possible but with it being FWD, you it will only be good for straights unless you have TCS turned up. FWD cars understeer/almost dont steer at all while pressing the gas on a curve. i would stick to 1000-1500 for the mini. on AWD cars maybe around 1500-2000 and rwd up to 4000 would still be driveable i would think. my vette i have TCS on 1 otherwise it will barely move. need TCS to get it started a little bit.

@Mrdevilmuncher yes. with a gameshark you can multiply the HP from 2x to 50x. i modified the car to its full potential, then multiplied it by 4x so it has a lot of power but is still driveable.

just for some info. on GT5 prologue, and i would imaging on GT3 and GT4, some cars are quicker if you shift them between the redline and rev limiter. i.e. the subaru STI in GT5 is quicker by shifting it about 500rpms before the redline. which you can only do with a manual. i DO use manual on GT5. and have found that shifting a little early is quicker on some cars. try it for yourself. BOTTOM LINE!!YOU have to test and play with the cars you use to find what is the best way to use every car

thank you. i now have GT5 prologue and downloaded the time trial challenge and use manual in them. for some reason GT3 and 4 i use auto. using manual just feels weird on the controller. i mean i can use manual but for some reason i am not so good at racing with it on GT3 and 4. gt5 i race well with a manual. but i have found now that i am getting bored with the GT series. hopefully sony will add some kick to GT5. so far i am liking the addition of NASCAR on it. hopefully more will come.

just the demo. it was a good game but im not into shooters. i like racing games. i have gt5 prologue, GTA4, ghostbusters, socom confrontation, transformers ROTF, and spiderman 3. havent beaten any of them yet. recently i play socom a few times a week and GTA4 i play a few times a week. gohstbusters i play here and there. the others i played a little before and got bored so i stopped. heck i still have PS2 and dreamcast games i havent beaten yet. rarely stay with one game all the way thru.

lol not anymore. a little after i filmed this i bought a 19" sanyo 720p tv but it had a problem with audio and video randomly cutting out for 7 seconds. made online racing on GT5 pretty bad. well back in july i found a TV that got a power surge so the guy was throwing it out. i got it for free and it cost $200 to fix. so now i have a 52" projection 1080i tv that i play on. but i dont play the GT games much anymore. still have them tho. been playing socom confrontation pretty costantly.

yeah except sony screwed up badly on their GT games. lets see, you choose manual or auto....manual has a 6 speed, which chevy actually offered a 5 speed and a 6 speed, then you choose auto and its still a 6 speed. it should change to a 4 speed auto. GT5 is the same way, guess they really dont know much about cars do they???

Calm down. For all your know the automatic option might just mean the driver changes the gears for you, rather than the car's transmition being changed around.

It's obvious that polyphony digital (the creators of the game) know about cars, it's most likely just an part of the game they've done to make it easier to play.

This meathod works to your adavnatage with the F1 cars on slow tight courses because as soon as the transmission down shifts to 1st (depending on the gear tuning) the rear locks up. I usually hold this button and keep the car in 2nd gear. This meathod extends the life of the rear tires which we all know don't last very long.

oh man i hate the liscense tests. they are so boring. why cant they just let you race what you want but start out on beginner and if you end up beating a certain time, they let you open the S races or the next level up or whatever. the other crappy thing is that GT3 and GT4 the cars handle completely different. they seem to have really messed up on GT4. when GT5 prologue came out, they went back to a GT3-like handling. its like GT3 and 5 are realistic and 4 is arcade style racing

yup. i havent played gt5 much because my tv liked to randomly cut out audio and video for 7 seconds so if i was winning and that happened, either i paused it, which makes your car slam on the brakes, or just try to keep it on the track til it came back on which happened like 1 out of 20 times, 7 seconds is a long time racing blind. i have a better tv now so i might start playing it more again. plus most people like to ram the hell out of you so it usually sucks. my name is loismustdie15.

just FYI, when you are racing online, if you find people who race clean, add them as friends, that way you can eventually have a race with all people who race clean, so your skill comes into play. that way if you get rammed, you know its an accident too so you are less inclined to try to ram the shit outta them for ramming you lol

some people are just total cheaters and will ram you every chance they get. i just had a race with a guy who was very clean, we bumped once on accident and it slowed me down a little so he ended up beating me by 2 seconds, it was on fuji and his car was faster on turns and mine was faster on straights. i never raced online with the ferrari 599 until today so that could be why too. the setup was changed automatically so it was weird. i usually use that car to drift, not racing.

lol i had a few cheaters yesterday and i still beat them. they cut the corners, i stay on the track. yeah they got ahead of me, but on the straights where there arent any shortcuts, i just draft and pass. played gt5 for the first time in like 6 months a few days ago and still getting 1st and 2nd in every race. usually the 2nd place is against cheaters. if they race fair i beat them usually. that one race i mentioned with that clean racer was sweet tho, our cars were so closely matched.

i dont consider anyone who cheats to be good. i have often lost a race because of someone cheating or ramming me. i try to get payback but i have learned it is hard to do because you just wanna wail on him but the game makes your car invisible if you do that. you have to give them lighter bumps to accomplish your payback. lately i just send a message to them saying good job cheating, maybe try skill next time....but you probably dont have it so thats why you cheat.

buy a gameshark, with that you can multiply the hp up to 50x. but only go up to about 3-5k hp with RWD cars and 1-2k with FWD or AWD cars. off the throttle on FWD and AWD is ok but as soon as you touch the gas, the car understeers badly so you cant make the turn the rest of the way. RWD just basically drifts. but dont go above about 5k, you probably wont be able to make it around the track without spinning out

thats pretty impressive for a mini. you should buy another one and try 4x or whatever. a 1000hp mini would be awesome!! i have a vette that is a little over 3000hp. usually front wheel drive you can go up to about 1500 and it is still driveable same with awd cars. rear seem to do well with up to about 4000hp. the fwd and awd is lower because of horrible understeer while on the throttle. the rwd ones are more predictable but are still swirly as all hell at first

I have an Escudo that has nearly 4000+ hp. But guess what, it's actually slower than my 787B(which has only 2500+ hp) at the quarter mile. It was beaten by a whole second. But my Escudo could still do 293mph.

i donno, youd have to go on their site and see if they have the cheats for it and if they do then put them on it. but the gameshark i have already had all of them on it. and trust me, it will take awhile if you want all of the hp boosts, but if your just going for 50x then youd be ok. also if you do 50x, it is pretty much impossible to drive anymore except for top speed runs on the test track. go for about 3-5000hp on RWD cars you still wanna be able to drive pretty well. FWD and AWD go less.

yeah, me too, but this was when i was driving auto. i have GT5 prologue and drive manual all the time. its actually better to shift before the auto does on most cars. you pick up speed faster by shifting early on some cars

yeah, the WRX on gt5 picks up speed quicker if you shift 500-1k before redline, but its also one of the slowest cars anyway. on daytona it only goes like 160, and the NSX goes like 175 and they are in the same racing class on teh online races, so its still not a great car to use anyway.

i didnt say i used it now, but when i was getting used to the games i used auto and accidentally stumbled apon it. i held in the button for some reason when i was crashing and noticed that i was in 5th gear and accelerating from a dead stop without going to 1st, then realized i had my finger on R2. but i didnt say i use it now. so yes i have stopped being a "NOOB" as you might find out when i get GT5 and play online, i almost guarantee you will only see the taillights of my car if you race me.

hope it works for you. like i said in the vid tho, you just gotta get a feel for the car and find out whats faster acceleration. some cars are quicker if you let the tranny shift on its own, but most are faster by holding it. also makes sharp turns easier because a higher gear keeps the tires from spinning so you dont lose control. works great on hairpin turns where it goes into 1st, you can keep it in 2nd or 3rd until you get thru the apex of the corner.
