I'm a straight male, i've also been a guitarist and writer for four years, and i can honestly say nothing i've ever written can even cast a shadow on the perfection these two managed to twist into lyrics and music. As to all the people who leave demeaning or rude comments, i don't hate you, i pity you. I feel bad that you can't grasp the beauty of what these two are capable of.
This is the best version I've ever heard. I have this version on my phone and I keep it on repeat. So beautiful. For some reason, the way she sings the last word of each line is amazing. I don't know if that makes sense to anyone else...
This song (this version) makes me cry. It makes me think about suicide. "I'm to the edge I'm barely there" like on the brink of committing suicide. It also makes me think about depression, coming out, and a phone plan where your minutes are free when after 7:00 (when it's dark)

they REALLY should make an ALL ACOUSTIC album because the Spin sessions and the other great vids making the rounds on YT have to be some of THE best versions of their songs. Matter of fact I don't really care as much for their NON acoustic songs. This version makes the hair on my arms stand up. SO sick.
i've been listening to them for years and i seriously can't tell the difference between who's tegan and who's sara. and i don't really care to be honest. because that's not what matters. they make beautful music and are incredibly musically talented. this is coming from a heterosexual male. what they do with their lives is completely irrelevant and unneccessary for me and the rest of the world to know.
its not autotuned, just really pitched corrected. i work with this program called melodyne all the time. you can visually move notes around that have been sung in, and can match it up so it's pitch perfect. if you listen, the whole performance is pitch perfect, except for the odd note which is perfectly out - compare 0:41 to the original. its not the same note, but its still in tune with the piece.
i was going through a hard time in my life.. and through a bazzare way i found tegan and sara ...and this band literally saved my life and there songs just influenced the way i lived... its been 2 years since. and my life could not be better :)

This will forever be my favorite performance of ANY song on the face of the earth. I know I've commented on this video numerous times before, but this is, and always will be, the best thing my ears have ever heard. Tegan voice, their harmonization, the guitars, everything. It's all so angelic.
