I had the great pleasure of seeing Kurt with the quartet out in Chicago this past January for 4 nights straight. He played this tune on a couple nights, the first night he had no title, but by the final night he had come up with a title for it. He called it "Little Dream". Loving all the great Kurt clips, he is such an inspiring and beautiful musician.
@david02129 Are you being sarcastic? I mean, of course the woman is the primary vocalist in this group, but im quite sure benevolentcat's statement there has nothing to do with who's singing in this clip, nor does this clip as a whole really have anything to do with the statement besides the fact it is one of the many examples of his beautiful musical approach.
Does anyone knows if there a name for this amazng song? (kurt is simply gifted, and never stops extanding his talent, mind and heart, we are all so lucky)
Would be cool to get the lyrics. First time I hear a song with lyrics that he is actually sings. I read that he writes "regular" tunes in more of a rockgenre with lyrics (one title was Timemashine I think) and it would be really cool to hear that side of Kurt as well.
This tune can be heard on NPR:s recording with Kurt Rosenwinkel at Villiage Vanguard, but not with vocals. Both sets can be downloaded for free from NPRs homepage, with great soundquality. Check it out! :) Thanks for uploading this, great clip! Best, Sandemose
