Nice. Can you figure out the solo from Chris LeDoux's "8 Second Ride" song? And can you tab it too? Thanks. I think it's a great solo to learn. It sounds very bluesy for a country-western song.
@adampnewsome Practice every day and have patience. It takes time to build strength and coordination in your fingers. A flat and fast neck, low action helps too when it comes to speed.
@rotren gary moore had extremely high action though,so low or high action is not necessarily the best for speed, agreed though on practice and patience for sure!!
a little precise advice to rotren: the anwer is a quick right hand technique. a lot of time i wasted time to improve my left hand with finger style but - and rotren will agree - it's more, if not all about getting spedd in alternative picking. your left hand finger will follow automaticly !
@adampnewsome Practice is the only way to build up speed. When learning licks like this you are better to start them at a slow pace and then gradually build up your speed. As you get more used to playing the lick faster you finders will take over and it'll surprise you just how speedy you will be able to play. Good luck with it.
@adampnewsome He is SO right! In order to lay fast, you must spend a good protion of your time playing SLOWLY w/ NO ERRORS. And: WATCH YOUR RIGHT HAND! The right is executing the notes. Most of us ignore the most important things such as THE RIGHT HAND!!!! (Think: Baby steps...tortise and the hare...the tortise-you-will BECOME as fast as the hare, or faster.) 120 BPM Clean sounds faster than 140 BPM sloppy. YOU CAN DO IT. I PROMISE!!! GW
I've always wanted to learn something like this when I was ten but thought it was impossible...I'm only fourteen but now it's possible so thank you! :)
Awesome lick man, this was one of those finger twisters where i couldn't quite see the light at the end of the tunnel for a while and all of a sudden it clicked! I love it when that happens :D thanks!
@fortysixyou You are a good player! It is always good to stay humble. Leave this great guitarist the positive comment he deserves (he is a great player), but don't put yourself down. Lock yourself in a room until you can play it faster ( and JUST as cleanly). Peace to all.
@fortysixyou I thought I was fairly good at guitar too, then I saw a Robert Renman video. Then I realised that I could be good at guitar but I needed a hell of a lot of practice.
Great lick man, been practicing it 2 days now muscle memory is starting to get it down now but no where near your speed yet.You make it sound so fluid, throw some more of these out there they are very helpful the tab helps as well.Good stuff

For all fresh guitarists out there , easiest way to learn licks is to learn it in an Am scale (pent.) then you implement it in every other scale.
