Fans were fighting for their nation's pride but don't you notice that we werre just being fooled by the promoters maybe. They were controlling who will be the winner and who will make ticket and pay per views more sellable. Instead of throwing curses and sarcasms to other bloggers, why dont we call the attention of the fixers /promoters to let the fighters do their things and prove their skills and give the viewers the pure satisfaction of watching real fights.
I love Boxing since I was in gradeschool. I still love it today but not too much especially when I see a fight that is not worth watching for. Manny Pacquiao was great on his fights with Barrera, Marquez and Morales. But his last fights with Dela Hoya, Clottey, Hatton and Cotto were all fixed in my opinion. Just watch these fights, Dela Hoya was a great fighter but he was not throwing punches on Pacquiao, same as Hatton and Clottey. Watch their previous fights before Pacquiao.
I respect your opinion but I will try my best to refute them with facts.
#1. Clottey isn't a volume puncher. In fact he is the exact opposite of it. Margacheatto (pac's next opponent) was able to land the all-time compubox 1600+ punches against clottey compared to pac's 1200+.
#2. Hatton's punches thrown per round :
vs. pac = 39
vs. mayweather = 37.2
#3. Dela hoya punch thrown per round:
vs. pac = 50.25
vs. mayweather = 48.92
conclusion: Pac's offense can make your offense bad...
zab pretended he couldn't see so that the ref will save him from a huge KO coming. clottey is on his way to KO judah and judah knew its gonna happen if the fight doesn't get stopped prematurely..
