  • Those pilots were true heroes manoeuvring and dumping their speed despite the fact that it would spell certain death for them just so that the airborne could get out before their engines blew.

  • The Brits should have been mentioned more in this.

  • @URAGamekid Why? they came up with the stupid leg pack idea which caused more trouble than you could imagine

  • @nashisbeastmodeya

Because they planned the whole friggin D-Day invasion.

  • @URAGamekid but they cause a major downfall that led to losing equipment and a lot of injuries, broken ankles, legs, arms etc

  • @nashisbeastmodeya

And they planned the invasion and everything else that won the war because the Yanks couldn't.

  • @URAGamekid that's why Germany surrendered in the name of America, not the allies. And the British were good planners, but not good fighters, the Limey's couldn't handle themselves on the front line

  • @nashisbeastmodeya

A British soldier wrote that in Africa he was discraced to see an American officer not know how to command his troops. They had the best soldiers, but the worst officers/commanders.

  • @URAGamekid LT. Richard Winters has got to be amongst the top military leaders of all time though, but i do agree somewhat, but wars are won on the front line. Let's just respect every soldier who fought in this war, Americans and Allies

  • Soooo according to wiki the 506th only lost 3 aircraft in all this hell. I have been taught not to trust Wikipedia, but can anyone confirm? Because i find it hard to believe. German Flaks should do so much more than 3/81 aircraft on a full moon. Of course, this was only the 506th. Lemme know!

  • AHAHAHAHAH I LOVE THE PART WHERE THE PILOT SAID "OH GAWD OH NO" LOOOOOOOOL ORGASM

  • thats fucked up

  • in real life where the landed was flooded the germans all flooded the surronding areas to make it harder for them

  • The sound effect used to destroy the plane at 4:06 is the same sound effect used in Warcraft 3 when a skeleton dies. Lol. Interesting.

  • OMFG. can u fucking imagine tht, all those young men going to a firey death, so horrible, a horrible tactic

  • 88´s and Flakvierling must´ve been hell on earth at this night!

  • now THAT'S how a paratrooper earns his mustard stain....

  • The DC series of plane was the civilian models. These are the same plane but militarized and called C-47.

  • always wanted to talk to ww2 veteran so i can compliment him for his service in the military

  • misdrops where everywhere tht time only few got lucky and landed safely

  • DC2

  • What kind of planes are those?

  • @jiggyrules DC-3's I believe

  • To be honest you'd jump scared or not, they are aiming for the planes..your inside the plane lol once outside the plane least you get some cover from night but shiiiiit that was stupidly low.

  • I always get confused on band of brothers and brothers in arms :D

  • I'm joining the Army and going to Airborne School. :]

  • Ouch! at 6:00 his face got blown off!

  • whats crazyest of all is the commanding officer at the start is from friends XD

  • when i watch this vid it makes me want to play medal of honor airborne lol

  • kalau hangpa nak tau, itulah asam garam paratrooper

  • i love BoB and The Pacific!!

  • Thnx For The Upload

  • did anyone else notice that bill was played by simon pegg? lol

  • @sl4shpwns haha that would have been crazy. He was actually played by Frank Hughes

  • @adengl

Simon Pegg played 1st Sgt. William Evans.

  • @freaky2uk yeah it is Simon Pegg, he said Frank Hughes but sure Frank obviously played Bill Guarnere

  • @adengl their faces are almost alike

  • @sl4shpwns Pegg played first Seargent William Evans

  • From Canada with love.

    This is 3rd battalion

    Canadian Forces Petawawa.

    Out.

  • steven spilborges and tom hank produced this mini series and steven directed saving private ryan and tom was the star

  • Man, I'd rather take my chances with this than land on a higgins in normandy, wouldn't you?

  • great,i loved those 10 mini-series,just an epic movie,RIP all Allied troops

  • were they jump over omaha beach cus i am a llittle confused were they r deploying

  • They are deploying behind the beaches to help take out inland forces so the regular infantry could easily move inland. Easy company dropped past Utah Beach. Unfortunately in all the confusion of explosions and bad technology, most of the troopers were miss-dropped.

  • hey thanks

  • how do you get this video on youtube like i do not get how you do this stuff plz reply i want to do stuff like this thx xD

  • @T352476 I ripped the dvd to my mac, then imported it to Imovie. It does all the formatting for you and then you upload it. I dont know how to do it on a windows

  • @adengl you have a torrent of full fraps and let it record then import it to a editing software and render and upload

  • @adengl Smart :D

  • @starwarslizzard7904 no offence but im 11 and i think i no a lot more than you do at ww2 no offence really your just a little dumb thats all :)

  • @starwarslizzard7904 no the point of the airborne was to assault further inland to prevent the shelling of the beaches they knocked out and destroyed the german garrison in normandy so the landing forces could advance and setup a beach head, they deployed much further inland just type in operation overlord in google or some shit

  • gosh the airborne always seems like they have it the worst. so many things can go wrong, the worst being they're being shot at while going down and their parachutes might not go off

  • I read the book that Guarneer and Babe wrote, best WW2 book, and I love the band of brothers series. :)

  • these boys had balls to join in with the airborn

  • @YourDailyRandomVids

well, they didn't expect this welcoming did they?

  • i feel sad for the pilots they r fucked

  • i would have shit my pants up just to normally jump safely out of the safest airplane today in clear weather, i can't imagine the fear they must have had, the plane shaking more than a roller coaster, at night, knowing they had to jump, seeing planes with 20+ soldiers in it bursting into flames, flak blowing up corpses on the drop, and when you land you're alone with inumerous quad flak guns shooting all around you...

    RIP...

  • I am from Honduras but....my respect is with this men, they the really true american heroes.

Wen i am doing a jump i go nervous but i just cant imagine what a jumper is thinking wen he have to jump in a theatre like this.

  • The 1940s may have seen some dark times but at least smoking on planes was allowed back then!

  • @VCK9009

yes because it was maybe your last cigarette before you die:P

  • @VCK9009 that and the army didn't have the bullshit politics and stupid rules like they do now. Much simpler with alot less paperwork. NO AR's or FM's or a shitload of DA forms to deal with.

  • Band of brothers in this one is one of the BEST!

  • This is my Favorit Episode!!! Well Done

  • WOW! no matter how many times i see this movie its just plane AWSOM! If this is realy what happend well its amazing how many lived. sadly and how many died.

10 out of five ALL THE WAY!
