  • Excellent picture series of the German Empress with atmospheric music, good job! :D

It's bitter, that the health of the Empress gets more and more worse in exile because of the disastrous german fate, than she died. I often think "Merkel" would rather make a euro-bailout for a scummy greek sheep's milk cheese, than she would spill one tear about germans fate ;-).

  • Es lebe die Kaiserin!

  • Not a drop of German blood in my veins but ... the Kaiser was a far more interesting, complex and admirable man than generally supposed, and it is Germany's modern tragedy that his abdication greatly weakened its postwar republic and led to the Third Reich. Have often wondered how Germany with a British-style constitutional monarchy might have fared after 1918.

  • @naizret You're right, he's far more complex than generally supposed. Nevertheless it was him, who destroyed all the liberal plans of his father and his great mother who always wanted a constitutional monarchy like in England.

  • From what I've read Augusta was a good wife to Wilhelm giving him six sons and one daughter. She seemed to have the ability to help calm Wilhelm when he would have one of his frequent nervous attacks especially during the war. Its unfortunate she was such a hawk when it came to the war. The kaiser, I've read wanted peace badly after 1917 and especially after the murder of his cousin the Czar and all his family..

  • Ja, unsere letzte Kaiserin...

    Das Video ist wunderbar !

    Danke schoen

  • She is so beautiful.

  • A moving tribute to German royal history.Magnificant music also!

  • My great aunt was a lady in waiting to Princess Augusta Viktoria. She actually was her official seamstress and when I showed this film to my mother, who is 90 years old, she wondered if any of the Princess's dresses were sewed by her Aunt. Thanks for the film, it was great.

  • thanks a lot...are u a German? great is your history as a people...as a nation...Good to know people like you.

  • @skippallan I'm not a german but I have some german blood.

  • nice vid...what's the title of the background music?

  • @skippallan "Legende" by Saint Preux.

  • what ist the name of the piece in this video??

  • @DerDeutschWolf The piece is "Légende" by Saint Preux.

  • Very nice!! Where have you got all the marvelous pictures from?
