Well, i used to play with the wii wheel but when i tried playing with the wii remote and the nunchuk it just felt better, more grip, more skill, it looks like you are playing like a professional, with the wii wheel i couldnt get past the 5100 points, with the nunchuk im already in 7172 points in 3 days

Just use the wii jacket on your wii remote cuz the sweat makes the remote fly when you do a trick, why do people play with the wii remote without jacket and the wrist strap? damn

Oh thank god nunchuck, you've saved my life. I was using the awful motion controls and thought I was stuck with them. Silly me never thought of using the nunchucks little joystick. And the wiimote being held in the other hand doing the throttle and jump, it's perfect. Just like a spaced apart control pad really. I don't think I'll even bother getting the classic controller now.

It appears the Nunchuck would be better for Wi-fi considering it's more competitiive online, howoever playing with the wheel is more fun because your actually steering instead on using your thumb to steer. So my conclusion is Offline: Use the Wheel. Online: Use the nunchuck.

THIS IS FOR ALL OF U WII WHEEL HATERS OUT THERE. Most people try the wheel at first and then say that its hard to use without any pactice. All u hav to do is practice so u can get better. I tottally mastered the wii wheel and i am curently working on a world record for DK Mountain. I am also investigating why sooo many people use the wiimote and nunchuk. I created a second licence in which i will only be using the wiimote and nunchuk. I will see how long it will take me to get to 9999vr.

you do realize that the game was, and still is, originally designed for the nunchuck + wii remote combo, right? there are many things, such as holding bananas and shells behind your cart, that are very annoying to do with the wheel.

the wheel is just a cheap gimmick that is a marketing ploy to get more people (old people, and children,) interested in the game. End of story dude, you lose.

Nunchuk :) it's the best to use, it lets you make tricks easier and steer the vehicle. Im starting to get good at this game.

You wont be "good" till you use the WiiWheel. Plus you get a golden WiiWheel sign next to your name if you only use the WiiWheel. Shows you've got skill. Nunchuck is to easy which means you've got no skill, plus WiiWheel is so much fun!

I find you can get so much more precise with the nunchuck or any joystick really on the powerslides through a turn. Hit the apex dead on and such.

I only user the wheel (still don't have my golden one!) and I can get 1:19 on Luigi Circuit. Not the world record, but still pretty good.

Also, certain bikes + auto = about the same amount of boosts.

I used the Wii Wheel exclusively until I just decided to give the Remote+Nunchuk a spin. It's a lot more comfortable than it sounds. It feels a bit weird at first, but you get used to it after a few races.

In my opinion, the wii wheel is always ganna be fun no matter what, of course. It's a damn wheel! lol But when seriousness kicks in...I have to say gamecube all the way. It's just more balanced, and easier (With a joy stick). I only use the wheel when I'm board. But when it comes to kickin' some ass... gc all the way! But when nunchuck and wii wheel is concerned. I saw, wii wheel. For some reason, it doesn't feel right playin' MK wit a wii-mote and nunchuck. More fun wit wii wheel :D

now out of all of them, gamecube for me. Wii Wheel is shit, sorry but you'll always be falling off courses like Rainbow Road, how did I prove it? I was playing online against a bunch of wii wheelers, and they were beating me...only because they kept choosing stuff like Luigi Circuit, but when I put them up against Rainbow Road, I overlapped 3 of them and I looked at the map a few times, everybody was falling off. so if you're a person who likes to win in mario kart, use gamecube or nunchuck.

they DID tweak the gamecube controller a bit from Mario Kart: Double Dash, you don't press X or Y for items, you press L and you can now use the B button to drift, but I still use R, and of course, the tricks, which are done on the pad. out of those 2 I would pick nunchuck, I'm a Mario Kart veteran, and I used the wheel for a bit and i hated it, I tried Rainbow Road and I got like 10th place, after, I plugged in the nunchuck, easy win, I got 1st place. too much of a learning curve.
