Anyways, I've been playing Mabinogi for, I think since June, so around 5 months. I spent $10 on it. And that was when I first started it. This game does not require you to pay for it. When those calculations were made, the game was probably still in its earlier stages from when you were REQUIRED to pay $10 or so a month for it to get the main storyline. Now, it's completely free for the story, but not for the pets and others.

i do admit its gotten better, giving players a better experience even without the NX cash. but look: it takes NX to turn into paladin or dark knight. they have these "exclusive packages" where you can get "extra support" and get special items and gifts weekly, that means that whoever is the richest, in real life, gets the better game experience, and with better game experience, you tend to do better in the game such as leveling fast/getting gold faster. you dont spend NX, they wont care for you

That is completely wrong. When they made Generation 2 available to all players, the also made the Paladin (and eventually the Dark Knight upon release) available to the very same people for FREE.

Futhermore, as far as the packages like "Fantasy Life," as well as others, that give you extra storage space, with the upperhand in battle and a monthly gift, for the price of about $10 per month. I don't support it, but I do say that it's almost useless to pay for the game.

Not just you, but hundreds of others. ha ha, that WoW nerd was way off, of course they made it where you can be a "NX" addict, but you can enjoy the game without spending a penny ^^". i used to spend 100's when i first started playing yes "on pets and weekly rb's" but i got all the pets i want and don't find anymore favorable, plus i'm such a great level where game money comes easy and leveling doesn't truly matter. so unlike WoW, they HAVE to keep spending, i don't XD

what everyone needs to do is find a game that will allow you fly on brooms anywhere you want to. With the except of the shire's extra space, the broom pwns the horse...

I stopped playing mabi when I realized I was spending 50$-100$ a month on it, and all for what? I could be playing WoW or Aion for much less, but of which are 9/10 while mabi is more like a 7/10.

The brooms can still fly on the GROUND in the other continents other than Iria, right? Because if it only works in Iria, I won't buy it because I already have a flying mount pet.

It flies as high as the one when it was moving together with the shire in other continent (Uladh).

The only thing is that it CAN fly as high as the birds only in Iria.

I don't see how it's unfair. They graciously donated money to allow everyone to play the game, so based on their donation, they are allowed to pick a reward within a certain range. Also, animal taming can be harder for higher leveled players to train, due to high CP.

Ironically, they're kind of a universal movement pet. It moves as fast as a shire, so movement at Uldah wouldn't be a problem, and flys like any other. A flying pet on the other hand, is meant only to fly. Moving on ground in Uldah would be slower then just having your character run to the place. Fighting on the other hand, not sure. I never really use my pets for fighting.
