I do feel some sympathy for muslims on this score. Islam is political it is not a religion that stops short of prescribing every aspect of communal and personal life and by nature it can only be described as political. I'm Swiss and I can tell you that we aren't homophobic or against Islam. But there is a feeling of being threatened and foreboding about Islam. The way islamic women are treated sometimes. It is simply eerie. That played a big part in forbidding something that is really only a construction. Maybe the way the western media report has also something to do with it. I do feel some sympathy for muslims on this score. Islam is political it is not a religion that stops short of prescribing every aspect of communal and personal life and by nature it can only be described as political. Find out how tolerant islam is by going to your local library and finding the koran and making sure it is placed on the lowest shelf. Don't damage it or mistreat it just put it on the lowest shelf.
