Great stuff! if only the KP3 could stream samples from the card instead of having to load everything into the RAM... are you listening korg??? Keep it up guys :D
Hi! I want to make hip hop/funk, and i like your music. Did you make the drum patterns with the KP3? And would you recommend me using a Akai MPK mini instead of this?
I think it'd probably get more interesting if it was just one person controlling both, so that you were always working on exactly the same idea rather than having to memorise or figure out what the other person is planning on doing...
and if you had them chained so the output of one went to the input of the other.. then you can get into resampling in more complex ways, loop up to the 2nd one then switch loops on the first, layering effects live, etc. This is what I do but I dont just use kp3s

Hey good job guys. Love the samples and what you did with them. I'm going to buy one of these and was just looking for a youtube video to help convince me :).
can you apply the effects to the drums and the sample live like you 2 are doing with only one kp3?
i see that one of you are cutting the vox sample then restoring it to the original length.... and one has the drumms sampled... could you do both with the kp3??
please message back lloking at buying one dont know anyone with one i can mess with.
@MetalFaceLoofah hey man. Effects are applied to everything going through (via the inputs) or being played back (a sample stored in one of the four buttons) so the only way to apply effects to just one of the four samples would be to resample just that with the effects, then drop the other samples back in.
All the splicing and such is independent for each sample.
Take your iPod along to a music shop and have a jam, you'll splash the cash for sure!
That is pretty sweet! I would SO buy one of these if this was my main focus of music (Im a metal guitarist, I only make electronic music/ remixes on the side.)
just bought mine on ebay 2 days ago.....can't wait!!! man, get it on ebay. i'm in australia and bought it from the US. in ozzie dollars it's like $400 instead of $800 and only about $70 to get it posted over, then just buy a power adapter for like $2. done!!
Well you can order them online or so. Costs around 700$ if I remember correctly. Though you can probably get them in mosts music stores. Just say you wanna buy one and they'll order one in and you can buy it there.

did you save the small loop of mp3 from computer then store in the kp3 SD card to do this? it looks quite a long process... but really enjoy it ^^
Great Job man!

@bboyliangwe glad you enjoyed it!
No computer involved, just sampled the tunes as usual then saved the sample to the SD card to use later.
