FreeBSD is ment to be a server os, its configured to use alot of processing power, something that the Intel Atom would barely handle.

It runs on netbooks fine. Yeah, Atom is sorta weak so I would avoid ports where possible, and stick to packages.
But anyway: "configured to use alot of processing power". What?
FreeBSD will run on ancient hardware, or it can run on a supercomputer. And it will definitely run on Atom without a hitch.

Can this be installed natively without the use of bootcamp, vmware, or paralells? I want to "REPLACE" mac os x and use freebsd alone on my mac pro, however everytime I boot the installer cd, it locks up as soon as it gets to ACPI.
