Maybe if you be a bit more observant read the desciption then it would be clear he didnt know. i thought like the biggest sign of a tsunami is that all the water on the beach is pulled out, like way far out kinda like in the video it looks like the beach goes far even farther than it should

every little child knows that the water gets pulled out, and in this video it went out for like 50-100 meters, thats a sign for a huge tsunami, and as i said at least somebody on this fucking beach should have gone to school and warned the rest to leave

I think what is so disturbing about this video - is that i don't know what happened to the german man and his family. i want to know how the story ended and, in my mind, i'm hoping all went well. yet, i am full of dread about the possibility of what happened to the cameraman, his wife and daughter. does anyone know how this video was found?

When you go to another country, or any place for vacation do you watch the news daily? You go on vacations to get "away" from it all, to spend time with your family. Anyone who has ever been to a beach as seen waves. From afar a wave is a wave, they all look alike. You cannot tell the difference from them until they are closer. Of course with the speed of a tsunami you have no time to react.

You can't blame these people for being stupid .. you fail at life if you do that. Wrong place wrong time

Most if not all those people have never seen this type of wave before, except in a movie, and then they never look like this. Only a few people knew to run, the other were just facinated of the even, and even others, like my fool of a brother, seems to think they can swim out of it. These people didn't know what was coming even when it was almost apon them. The only reason for some of the comments is that they don't either until they saw the films in 04' and now they are experts.

None of these tourists could ever have known that there was an earthquake that morning, and tsunami wave coming. All they can see is the front of a big wave. They don't know how WIDE it is, that why when tsunami hits the beach it grows exponentially. All the water from behind is pushing on slower wave in the front. But hey, they all knew that right? retards.. the german tourist wasn't filming it for you to watch, it was a family video..
