Cont.. I was walking past a pub near Roman road, back in 1997. There were tramps and dossers buying bottles of cheap white cider and walking into the pub. As it had the doors open, i kid you not, there were drunks rolling about on the floor, the floor itself was a mass of shit, piss and vomit! What a place! For the connoiseur definately!

Ive visited Hackney literally 100's of times and yes, it is rough. Im from the north of England and was never intimidated by the gangs of chavs on the streets - I think all the violent crime tends to be amongst themselves - some of them will kill a mate for ripping them off £1! Saying that, there are much better places in London to live than Hackney, but Hackney has character and the pubs are great!

Hackney's traditional county is Middlesex (South of England) KINGMF08, just like Manchester's traditional county is Lancashire (North of England) and Abingdon's traditional county is Berkshire (South of England). I don't see the harm in using a place's traditional county!
