  • 0:15 Vent not spinning must have wheels under lol

  • I'm one of the students that built this. The main issue with stability is the overall width of the hovercraft. We were limited with space to build and store it so its 2 narrow causing it to tip over easy so if we were to do it again we would make it alot wider. The steering is controled by a rudder. Yes we have tried this on water.

  • i love hovercraft thingis!

  • Probably a rotating fan or some sort of counter fan to improve stability is needed. But never the less this thing is pretty well thought out.

  • Can this hovercraft go over water?

  • that is savage

  • now to give it a turn radius smaller than a football field :P

  • @pyr666 i think the fins are too small thats the prob

  • @kevin15664

its more in the nature of hovercraft. turning the body of the craft doesnt do much of anything due to a lack of friction.

no ones really found a practical solution that i know of.

  • Great job!!!

Ese aerodeslizador funciona muy bien aunque parece que pierde mucha velocidad cuando da las vueltas.

  • ha ...they dont have the video where daivd lynch rolled it :)

  • lol alrite bolton wats da craic!! that video has been sensored!!!! lol

  • Hey lads cheers for the comments i'm actually 1 of the students that made this hovercraft, any questions just give me shout!!

  • Yes please, Im interested in the motion of this hovercraft. Is the driving force only from the fan at the back or is there something underneeth the hovercraft that drives it forward?

  • alrite mate hws it goin! its just the fan at the back of the hovercraft that drives it forward, the engine used for this is a microlight plane engine!! there is also an engine at the front of the hovercraft that lifts the hovercraft. Because of this there is very littkle friction between the hovercraft and the ground therefore it dosnt take much force to thrust it forward!!!

  • looks pretty cool ..i like it..maybe becuase my major is mechanical engineering technology lol

  • boooooooooooooo

  • hater, can u make one?

  • "I know not what course others may take, but as for me....give me" an MSME or give me death!

  • damn that thing scoots

  • very impressive

  • i am a mechanical engineer and i am currently building a hovercraft for my final year project.

  • I want to go to college to be a mechanical engineer, I would like to work at disney land cause some of there rides and how they work is amazing

  • I want to study Mechanical Engineering at U of T and work for Bombardier designing rail vehicles such as trains and LRVs.
