Hmm... I like both games for what they are to be honest, but i play halo a lot more for it's multiplayer, and i feel ashamed for the narrow minded halo players...

The main reason i like halo is for its flexability; you can jump high, vehicles can spin and jump in a fun way, things like that.

Half-life on the other hand, i would still regard as legendary since it just works so well, it's like they wrote it like a book, with careful planning and they know what people want from them.

I'm no fanboy, I enjoy both halo and the orange box.Halo 1 was great, Halo 2 was not. Halo 3 i haven't tried yet. Half life 1 wasn't great, Half life 2,ep 1 and ep 2 were. Portal was awsome, TF2 is yet to be tried. But to marxeluniverse, i'm not sure if you mean Halo 1's sales, but that can hardly be compared to the Orange box. Halo 3 sold an estimated 2,48million copies in it's first DAY, where as Orange box sold 300k copies in it's first WEEK. I just hate when people get facts wrong.

Halo 3's single player mode is basically more of the same. If you liked Halo 2, you like Halo 3. If you hated Halo 2, Halo 3 isn't going to make you feel any different. Halo 3's multiplayer is just awesome though.

Well now I've played through Halo 3, and to me it was somewhat better than Halo 2, but still no where near Halo 1. Haven't gotten around to setting up Live so haven't tried the multiplayer, except splitscreen co-op.

The orange box had Half-life 2 which, by the way, surpasses Halo in every which way but it also had Portal, one of the most innovative and fun games of the time, and Team fortress 2, which is an amazingly fun multiplayer game. Sure Halo's fun for about an hour, but after that it's boring. Just the same stuff over and over again. At least with the orange box you've got three games to choose from versus one.

With HL2 - Episode 3 and HL3 on their way, the HL series will outlive Halo by a long shot. When Half Life finally dies, Valve will make a new masterpiece.
