  • Amazon stock PER =95, meaning over-priced hype, based on "future earnings". When did we see this EXACT same story? Dot.com implosion at the turn of the century. Enron. I'd short it in 2012.

  • I like the part where everyone cheers for the products.

  • As someone who adores anything Apple I say that the Kindle sits well in my 'gadget' collection, it's amazing, nice to hold, easy to read and worth every penny, I have this without the desire for iPad and can't wait to get my hands on the Kinde Fire. Jeff Bezos, so what if he emulates Steve Jobs, who cares, show me a human that has never emulated another that he finds inspiring! Stop comparing and enjoy fantastic products the way their creators intended, both Jobs and Bezos are to be admired!

  • This guy is a total loser! He is TRYING to emulate Steve Jobs and the iPad.....but...FAIL! The way he walks, talks, his hesitations, and his big screen debut....LOSER! The Kindle Fire is a piece of CRAP and he's not doing much better himself.

  • That's embarrassing to watch. Steve Jobs wannabe and the silence is deafening !

  • @soundincentive Jeff Bezos is an amazing guy, my Dad works under him for Blue Origin aerospace and I know him personally. He is an awesome character and a super intelligent guy. Please think more carefully about the words you type if you do not even know the person.

  • @soundincentive Jeff is right now selling this product for an unbelievable price, Amazon is not even making profit off of the purchase, far better than Apple's overpriced junk. I own a kindle and my sister owns a kindle fire an they are absolutely spectacular. Best Tablet ever made in my narrow-minded opinion.

  • Check out Steve job's iPad presentation, and listen to the crowd cheering. Huge difference between this one!!!... This guy sounds like he doesn't even know this product.

  • @1951rodriguez

    Apple fan boy!

  • The Fire is more of an entertainment/productivity device than a reading device. I have a Kindle (3rd gen) that I will continue to use as my primary reading device, but I'm still getting a Kindle Fire for websurfing, movies, games, work... basically an alternative to a netbook. I can't wait for November 15th to get here! Does anyone know if Amazon will begin shipping on the 15th or if they'll send them earlier so they ARRIVE on the 15th? I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!

  • they must pay to someone to aplause. Kkkk

  • please, anyone, add the sound of the fireflies

  • How is the reading on this? Is it the same as the previous kindles or is the screen brighter like the iPad for example.

  • @Ballerina280 It's an IPS LCD display similar to the iPad. So reading would be a similar experience to reading on the iPad albeit on a smaller 7" screen. Reading is not going to be as good as on typical Kindle (gen 1, 2, 3, 4, or touch) which uses e-ink technology. The Fire has a backlit screen. E-ink Kindles rely on an outside source for lighting.

I have a Kindle 3 that I will continue to use strictly for reading. Sure I'll use the Fire for reading too, but only when away from my K3.

  • Will i be getting those stupid ads from droid market?

  • They're not apple. Nor should they try to be like them. Amazon is gonna sell these like hot cakes. I bought four of them one for myself and 3 for Christmas presents for family members.

  • The two people that disliked this video were either a democrat or a pervert or both.

  • Crowd needs to applause

  • (backstage):"Bezos please hold a moment for applause"

(Bezos): what the fuck audience is this/...

  • Lol, dead silence in the audience

  • this could be good

  • this jerk is a genius

  • 199?...sweet

  • and not a single fuck was given that day.

That crowd seemed so unimpressed it was almost sad.

    TADA KINDLE FIRE!!!!!

    yeah and?

  • I ate a Kindle Fire yesterday- it was yummy!

  • I love how dramatically he reveals things a la Steve Jobs to none of the cheers typical of an Apple presentation.

  • @mgaums That's cause you could sell a bag full of shit with the apple logo on it to any Apple fanboy and they would jizz there pants.

  • The downfall or at least the dwindling of Apple is upon us. Anyone can duplicate a toy. Try duplicating Windows XP and Xbox. That's harder. That's why Bill Gates fortune recently rose another five billion.

  • steve jobs's presentation style copycat...:(

  • my dad can beat up your dad!

  • Gee everybody is so quiet hahaha

  • Steve Jobs was an ass, eternally full of himself. Bezos has created a device with more value than anything Jobs ever created. And its Silk browser blows Apple's away. Let's see now, I can buy three Fires or one iPad. Gee, I wonder which I'll choose? This is a tough one.

  • This rocks can't wait to get one.

  • Hey, give amazon credit! This thing is cheaper than iPod Touch. And believe me people will buy it big time. Apple charges $300 for 8GB of storage, webcam and 3" bigger screen compared to KF. Apple iPad should cost $300. It is overpriced big time because it lacked competition. Not for long. Even Asus Tranformer tablet is a better value than iPad2.

  • @gnawrot nice to see someone talk about the asus tab, ive used one and its loads better then the ipad.

  • The presentation is so bland. Had it been Steve Jobs marketing Kindle Fire, people would have gone Wild ! He would have compared each feature with every other competitor and tell them how it outshines. This guy sucks.

  • @kakarotsv50 says you, this guy is a damn genuis in the marketing world, amazon stock has never fallen more then its risen in a day lol.

  • @kakarotsv50 You mean he would've been a dickend about it instead of showing the audience what it does and letting them make their own choice based on their own needs? "hey guis this rectngle haz an aple logo on teh back. bye it lol."

  • @kakarotsv50

    Apple fan boy!

  • The presenter guy is soooooooooooo lame. Boring tone, raises up the kindle everyone once in awhile and all he does is pace. Awful body language.

  • @robmundo at least he doesnt try to look better then the product.

  • Uhum: Steven doesn't try to look cooler than the product.

  • Wow what a blatant rip of Steve Jobs' keynotes. From the slide layout, the presentation, the speaking points, all the way down to mannerisms and speech cadence.

  • @paradigm1220 Yeap, the same, right up until the part he announced the $199 price.. nope.. I'm pretty sure I've NEVER heard Steve Jobs say that price about ANY iPad and most likely never will...

  • @marksapollo prepare to eat your words. but that's beside the point - the Kindle Fire does not compete with iPad. Two separate markets, two separate strategies. If you want something to compare the Fire to, try iTunes.

  • @paradigm1220 If Apple launched a $199 iPad I shall know I am dead mate or dreaming! Two separate markets yet the Kindle Fire shall be taking sales from the iPad.

  • @marksapollo i'm too busy to explain why you're wrong. read this: daringfireball. net /2011/09/amazons_new_kindles

  • @paradigm1220 This is just the first version. It won't take that many steps to catch up to IPad. Copying is easier than being original. Bezos just doesn't care.

  • @paradigm1220

Fire is better than ipad no problem.

  • yea, jeff isn't quite as good at presentation as steve jobs, but this product is going to be awesome!

  • @isaachaze1 if it aint broke.....
