saw him play this live and he carries holds that note so high so long that I got chills right up the back of my spine and straight down my arms.... He is such a fun brilliant entertainer...
The beauty of a woman arouses a man to play the man; the strength of a man offered tenderly to his woman, allows her to be beautiful; for it brings life to her being.
This is just peace. . . screw all fucken war, terrorism, racism etc! Its all about having peace in your life. Living life to the fullest and have a healthy life. ;) and always smiling.
i love the song and then i listen to this and i got goose bumps and i have had a bad tme and this song brings tears to me eyes all the time well done i love it
If you turn this up really, really, really loud on a good home theatre system, you'll be transported to a divine place. Sometimes I sit there when nobody else is home, crank it WAY up, and enjoy five minutes of sheer bliss....same holds true with Emmanuel and Cinema Paradiso from this same DVD....priceless....stirs your soul!

@tallcamel42 I do this all the time.. and I am always transported to another place..I adore Botti's version of this classic. Will request to have this played at my funeral. You have very good taste my friend...It really does stir the soul. God bless you in the new year 2011!! Patti
I am sorry but the 7 people who said that they dont like this song .. have so sense of music in their soul .. Just close your eyes and open your ears and listen to it. Listen to let it take you away ..
I had just gotten the CD and was playing it as I drove through the rain on the night my mother died, to see her at the nursing home. What a profound statement this made on my heart.
Not very impressive for being the "Celebrated jazz trumpeter" Chris Botti is over rated IMO. There are several other world class trumpet players that can play this song better than he did. Let alone the butchering that Botti did of Ave Maria...Such a classic song and he had to ruin it =(
Chris is always very humble when he shares with his fans how this beautiful arrangement came together for him. I love his style, the way he holds his trumpet, his approach to the stage, his sensitivity and the desire he has for his audience to feel what he feels when he plays his music. This will always be one of my favorites.
Gracias por subir este video....escucho los instrumentos...y me trajo a la memoria mi niñez...crecí entre violines, violonchelos, pianos ..ese es mi mundo...la musica...gracias!!!
Drift off to sleep to this, fine ones...could make an Angel weep...leastwise this angel...horn magic by the Master Botti...'tis about as fine as it gits, as far as trumpets go...yeah boy! ~Peace & always, sweet dreams, to those I love & adore...you know who you are ;) Jillybluehornblowin'Lassie~~~~~
I luckly attended the "Eden" concert of Sarah Brightman in the Wang Theater in Boston in October 1999. The last song she performed that night was, of course, "Time To Say Goodbye". I can't tell you how I felt back then when she reached the high notes, because it was way beyond description. If there was a right person to perform this piece with the right instrument, I believe that will be Chris Botti and his trumpet.

His horn just blended in with the orchestra seamlessly.
Botti's cross-over music is naturally perfect.

Dear Chris Botti
his style, his elegance, his talent allowed music to the heart,
