OH MY WORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been trying to find this song for the last 12 years!!! It's the last song I heard on Herb Kent's show in V103 in Chicago!!!!
Hey, now this is truly "Old School" here. Man this brings back memories of the days of Djayin' at the clubs and the people who love to "step" to this song. Thank you very much for posting both this version and the extended version of this jam.
@Advallejo86 lol that's funny. I'm kind old and young In one so I grew up off soul and Ronnie foster was one of the dudes that was always smooth to me. But Spitta did make that shit sound hotter cause he remastered the original track
@KickBack90sBeats LMAO...Not with you but at you!!!!! I will agree with you on one thing and, that is all the B.S. that they play on the radio...That's exactly why I don't ever listen to the radio I make my own mp3 disc...I am entitled to "MY OPINION" just as you are yours and I Still Can't Stand Ghetto Rap that will never change and, if you knew anything about music, which I can tell you don't by your comment you would know that country music is no different than the blues!!!!! 2 B Continued....
@MrKaydeepar3 I dont see how country & blues are similar... Ive always hated country with every ounce of my being... its the shittiest shit there is... maybe thats why I dont know the difference, cuz I cant stand it enough to listen & hear it... keep listening to your music... & Ill keep listening to mine... & by the way... why hate just cuz I like hip hop? I didnt hate on you... & if I knew nothing about music, why am I here listening to this golden joint? no need 2 respond, we made our points
@KickBack90sBeats I don't care much for either but if I had to choose I'd drive from the east coast to the west listening to the Blues & Country B 4 Ghetto Rap!!! Do U feel me yet?I'm OLD SKOOL FOR LIFE young man & you don't have a clue b'cause if you did you would know that 80% if not more of the Hip Hop?Ghetto Rap artists out their are SAMPLING OLD SKOOL SONGS!!!!! Hopefully you'll get it one day!!!!
@MrKaydeepar3 good for you...I know we sample... thats all I do... the only hip hop I listen to is sampled... trust me I got crates and more crates of rare obscure vinyl to legends like these... from Ronnie Foster to Roy Ayers to Stanley Clarke to LLS to Ahmad Jamal to Dave Brubeck to True Reflection... and no I dont just sample the classics... I actually listen to them...
@MrKaydeepar3 Hip Hop came from Jazz Soul and Funk....Cool Herc spinning wax in the Bronx...rocking the Roxy's on Friday nights. But please don't get "Ghetto" rap and Hip Hop confused with one another. One is pure gansterism and garbage..the other is from the soul.
@SwiftbeatProductions I know all about Clive Campbell "DJ Kool Herc" who emigrated to the USA around '66 or '67 by way of Jamaica but, the fact remains the same...Ghetto Rap is a subgenre of Hip Hop which (my opinion only) makes it guilty by association!!!!Don't get me wrong some although not much Hip Hop I could listen to for a few but Never The Gangsta Rap.It's here to stay and mega bucks are being made on it....It's just not a genre of music that I can ever appreciate.I'll omit hate 4 U.lol..
@MrKaydeepar3 your idea of hip hop is really juvenile. "ghetto rap" is such an ignorant term for a culture that was beautiful (and still is) but tainted by commercialism. Sampling is not a crime, it just shows that producers are willing to bring an artform to a younger generation with a unique twist. Be glad people are still interested in this form of music wether it be by hip-hop or word of mouth. Otherwise you just sound like a close minded elitest. No disrespect, just my opinion.
@lowendfella Show ya right!!!! I'm still trying to find my 12" version it's a tad bit longer...Thanks for the comments feel free to subscribe I'll be uploading more stuff soon!!!!!
