  • Amazing!! Leopards are no bigger than a large dog (or smaller),

  • A male leopard would have to be very hungry to stand up to a full grown female hyena 1 on 1. Hyenas can take more punishment then a leopard and their jaws are lethal. A leopard will almost always avoid even a 1 on 1 confrontation with an adult hyena.

  • most leopards dont stand their ground when encountering hyena b/c they have much more to lose in a fight with one. But if one actually does stand up to a hyena then it can scare it away. 1-on-1 a hyena is no match for a leopard.

  • Correction a Dominant Male Leopard will almost always stand it's ground against a single hyena. Your thinking of a small leopardess.

  • Nope im not just thinking of a small leopardess. I'm talking about an average size leopard, be it male or female. They almost always do not stand their ground t even a single hyena b/c they know the rest of the clan maybe near and if that happens then the injury the leopard can receive in a confrontation might lead to its inability to hunt, which leads to starvation and death. Hyenas hunt in groups so even if one is injured, it's not much of a problem for it to feed.

  • @Tigersandme Of all the videos that i saw, leopard always backed off to a hyena. btw even if it is one on one fight, hyena is so cruel that it simply comes and start eating the kill without any worry of whos standing beside, while leopard is trying to put him off.

  • @teaser2233 i saw videos of male leopards, chasing away hyenas. Tigersandme is right. A male leopard of 200 pounds will not let a hyena steal his kill. even female leopards are stronger than hyenas, but they back off b/c injury would destroy their hunting ability and means death by starvation.

  • @VpR81 maybe you are right, im not an expert but that was my observation from the videos iv'e seen here on youtube.

  • @teaser2233 I've seen a video of a male leopard, killing and eating a hyena. hyenas are not weak, but still they need to work in a pack to defeat a leopard, especially a male one. And that a leopard climbs up a tree when a hyena joins the scene doesn't mean it's weaker, it's just more careful. animals do not act "I'm gangsta, and i'm not afraid of you", like some idiotic humans do.

  • Um... wow.

  • Why did it suddenly skipped?
