  • 15 psi on the stock block? That's very much past the limit of what is generally accepted as the limit for these stock short blocks. But great that it held together!

  • @tufmandan Yes, it never let go. It was a great engine. I always used 103 race gas whenever I ran it hard at the dragstrip, for insurance.

  • @TGarzarel Was here any changes to the rod bolts or did you put studs in the heads??? I mean what was the hp rating on all that?

  • @tufmandan No, the only thing that was changed internally were the cams. It made 518 rwhp on race gas. Now, I have a different set-up

  • I'd prefer the 6 speed tranny just for the street and I'd drive my car every day. But auto is better for a drag strip. I'd take the extra mpgs from the six every other time tho.

  • WOW THAT'S MEEEEEAAAAAAN !

  • ONLY 9 SECONDS TO 100MPH omg SO COOL. i love it.

  • @MrScdpp Quit trolling and shut the hell up.

  • @shoppy16 You gotta cut MrScdpp some slack, he's a little dizzy from all of those Mustang tailights flashing in his eyes.

  • wow 0-60 in 3.9 sec... now that is what I'm talking about!!

  • Absolutely agree. Have a fully built 4r70w in my 02, I do wish I could bang gears every once in awhile, but going sideways in 2nd with an auto is fun too!

  • @MrScdpp Haha like your pathetic car could do better?

  • Whata fuck

  • @TGarzarel. Im glad there are people out there that dont stand by the "autos are for pussies, bang gears like a real man". Thats just stupid, dont get me wrong i love hitting gears hard, but an auto's simplicity and consistency really shine at the track.

  • @shoppy16 Absolutely. I used to think that manuals were the only way to go. This is probably true whenI was running 110-120 mph. But when I started running 125-135 mph, I quickly came to realize the truth. Even if it were possible to shift as fast as auto, often times they grind or lock you out. You can faceplate it, but then it won't be streetable. A built auto is the way to go.

  • Damn !!! Nice, my ride would be hitting 45 while the mustang be in the 80-90 lol

  • @renderthegiant ur dumb if u dont think this is fast

  • Damn bro that was fast

  • @coupe3kgt I was on street tires in this video, 60' was about 2.0. But even with slicks, I think I was running 11.30's at 125. Guys with autos run mid-10s at 125, with nearly idetical set-up.

  • @TGarzarel

How much power are you making cause the vr4 that had the same trap as you made 523awhp 579awtq on mustang dyno but the car weighed 3825.

  • @coupe3kgt At the time of this video, it made 460 rwhp/420 rwtq on a dynojet. Weight with me in the car is about 3600 lbs. With centrifugal blowers, HP grows almost linearly with RPM, so it moves well on the back half of the track. My set-up now made 594/500 on a dynojet and runs 134 mph. Would be low 10's/high-9's with an automatic, but the T56 won't let me shift fast and I have to settle for high-10's/low-11's.

  • You may not be able to shift as fast, but automatic trans soaks up roughly 25 of your engines power, where-as a manual soaks up only about 15 percent. Hence why manuals are used for racing applications much more than automatics. Need to get a short throw and a clutch kit and practice your shifts. I got one on my T-45 and I can hit gears just as fast as most automatics.

  • @Silvestris420 When I was below 500rwhp, it wasn't aproblem for me, but now at nearly 600 rwhp, I need an automatic. Manuals are not used more then automatics in drag racing...not serious drag racing anyway. A human cannot shift faster than a race prepped automatic. We're talking shift times 10's of milliseconds versus 0.1 sec or so. Faceplating the tranny helps a little, but they are much less streetable

  • @Silvestris420 ....also, my set-up now needs to be shifted at 7000 rpms. Sometimes the T56 cooperates while other times it gives me a lot of lash. I already have an MGW shifter, aftermarket quadrant, and firewall adjuster. Been drag racing for over 10 years. My T45 shifted much, much better, but couldn't handle the power. My T56 is the opposite.

  • @TGarzarel Maybe it's time to rebuild and and get all the slack out of the linkages unless that's just how the T-56 is designed. Is it that the throw is incredibly long or the syncros take forever to let you shift gears? I had that problem with the syncros when I switched to synthetic until the fluid broke in and was less slick.

  • @Silvestris420 That's just the way the T56's are. There are a lot of complaints, but they are strong trannies. I will glady give up 10% power for an auto. I'll lose MPH, but my ET will improve by 0.5s, if not faster.

  • @TGarzarel That sucks. I'm not much of a fan of autos unless it's offroading. You might be able to find some kind of swap on mustang forums or something so you don't have to sacrifice. I know when I was on Jeep forums I learned you could get springs off a ford taurus or some kind of sedan and I'd give you like an inch lift. Maybe you can get a trans off an f-150 or something and bolt in on with a new bell housing.

  • Damn that fuckers fast..

  • @coryboy345 thats just ignorant...the 5th gear on 98-04 4.6 mustangs is so long. There is a video of a very mildy modified 01 4.6 GT doing a top speed run, with stock gears,it shifted out of 4th at about 135,and when it got to 150mph,it was only at 4500 rpm, with about 1500rpms left. And saying power adders wont add top speed is just plain retarded. So youre saying if I put all the bolt ons on my trans am,about 400hp,and took the limiter off i would still only hit 155mph? youre fucking stupid bud.

  • Comment removed

  • @coryboy345 I disagree. Unless you have extremely short gears and a low rev limiter, air resistance will stop you before you run out of gear. The only way to overpower air resistance is through horsepower/torque. Centri blowers are especially advantageous to top end speed because they keep making more power the higher you rev the engine. MMFF did this test 10+ years ago with an 8 psi non intercooled Vortech kit. I think it was around 5k rpms in 5th where they hit the wall

  • 96-04 were 4.6L 2v

  • the 99 block is a 2 valve? i thought all the 4.6 modular motors were 3V, or is that just the newer engines

  • @dlinecg The 3 Valves were on virtually all model year GT's 05 through 09. Personally I would rather stick with my 99 2 Valve.

  • woow, what is the top speed of this tang'?

  • @jakub0404 I'm not interesting in finding out. I've been modifying it mainly for the 1/4 mile. I vaguely recall a magazine clocking a blown GT at 175-ish, but that was with the basic 8 psi/nonintercooled Vortech kit that makes about 50-100 rwhp less,

  • @TheEodtch you must be one of E36boyz's classmates

  • not bad I think it's faster than my turbo honda good job... not a ricer btw I owned an 01 z28 and plan on going back to my v8's soon

  • @TGarzarel I am buying a 00 stock GT with 11PSI its been tuned, is that even safe? I don't plan to run it hard, but I am worried its been damaged already. Its been running a S/C for roughly about 30k miles at 11PSI?

  • @SuRihtanil: If everything is done right, the stock engine will handle 14 psi and 500 rwhp. I replaced the engine at 50k, and it was still running strong. If the engine had good fuel delivery and a good tune, it is fine. An intercooler would be a good investment for safety and power. If its done right, a supercharged mustang could last for over 100k miles. But I would only buy a supercharged mustang from someone I know and trust. Too many guys beat and abuse their cars.

  • ur moto is what.. GET SOME TORQUE LMAO.. NICE TRACTION TOO WHAT TIRE ARE U RUNNING BUT ON SOME REAL SHIT CUZ IT TRACKED THE FUCK UP

  • @e36boyz I bet you got straight A's in school.

  • @e36boyz HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA WTF?????

  • i did not expect that! damn your mustang is fast!!! how much rwhp are you pushing?

  • MUSTANGS OWN CHARGERS! >:)

  • love it

  • god damn that was slick as hell

  • @BoneSaw713 Yeah I saw one of those Chargers....in my rear view mirror

  • @TGarzarel That shitz was sweet. Keep up the good work 95T/A 411 T56

  • @MrBottalax how do you like the T56? I hate mine -too notchy

  • @TGarzarel Actually I like it. 6 can be a pain in the as$ at times, but I do like the extra gear.

  • @BoneSaw713 the new chargers suck

u get a old one and that mustang will lose

  • @eagles211able a stock charger of any model would get spanked by this car.

  • @BoneSaw713 Chargers are lame.

  • @BoneSaw713 lmfao dumb ass dodge chargers are the slowest muscle cars out on the road today... tehy do 0-60 in like 5 seconds form the 2011 modles ford had that down in 1997... a new ford v6 stang would spank an srt8.. dodges are ffucking pussy.. the new mustang 5.0 can do 0-60 in like 3.9.. dodge cant compete with that

  • @BoneSaw713 Why would you want a yard ornament out on a race track? pointless..

  • @BoneSaw713 those new dodge chargers are crap. dodge fucked up because they made it a 4 door car instead of keeping the original 2 door.

  • @BoneSaw713 why a charger when a challenger is cheaper, better and faster?

  • @BoneSaw713 lmao...

  • this is a centrifugal right?

  • @sergsrt8 Yes, Vortech S-trim

  • @TGarzarel very nice, its my dream to have a supercharged mustang

  • now that was sexy

  • I bet it gets really annoying shifting at 30 all the time, thats what you get with drag gears though. Thing launches like a champ, and you're one of the few people on youtube who knows how to shift lol.

  • @TheBulldawg4life I hardly drive it on the street. But when I do, there is plenty of TQ down low, which lets me start in 2nd gear and have a long stretch of MPH before I need to shift.

  • @TGarzarel I wasn't sure if this was a track toy or a general toy.

  • Now THAT'S someone who knows how to shift!

  • Nice that car really pulls. You got 4.10s in there? Not sure how the S197s compare to older Mustangs but our shift points seem to be exactly the same and I have 4.10s

  • @Kadorja Yes, 4.10's, but the tire height is 28". The rpm/mph relation is similar to 3.73's + stock tire height. I was shifting at about 6200-6300 rpms

  • WTF?!?!?!?! what elise did u do to it?!

  • someone didn't re calibrate there speedometer after gear ratio change....... tricky little rabbit.

  • @alldayandnight09 Speedo would read a lot higher than 60mph at the top of 2nd gear if it wasn't calibrated.

  • @TGarzarel Your speedometer will read the same MPH and RPM on the gauges. The car will be traveling slower in actual MPH. Say your traveling at 80MPH actual speed, your gauges may read 100MPH. It will get more exaggerated the faster you go. Remember your transmission will read the same if you change the gearing in the rear end. Only if it was reading MPH from the somewhere past the rear diff, a gear change would not effect the gauges in the dash. Your gauges read from the transmission.

  • @20stands stock cal reads about 47 mph at the top of 1st, 67 mph in 2nd, and 98 mph in 3rd. Obviously my calibration was changed from stock to read a lower MPH to account for the shorter gears. See my dragstrip video taped from the outside, where you can see the ET/MPH displayed: /watch?v=SS_NESi8lj0

  • 0-60 in under 4 seconds in a mustang is pretty damn good

  • vicious acceleration!!

  • quick car man! and that's coming from a honda head hahaha

  • looks like ur speedometer needle is jumping even when ur into it not into the shifts, my rpms did that and my needle was slightly rubbing the tach itself all i did was just slightly lift the needle up from the bottom and problem fixed, it may be the camera tho but im jus saying

  • @thyreapu Thanks, I may try that

  • fake. i have a 1996 GT and i love mustangs but im sorry fellas, i dont think this is real. the tach doesnt match up with the sound of the engine in the begining of the vid and the engine was deffinately taching less than 3000 when he started. he might have been at 1500 but not 3000 rpm

  • @greenblazemike426 This was at a dragstrip. There was another car next to me reving as well, which you can hear in the beginning. Anyway, see my other video which is taped by someone on the outside.

  • @TGarzarel gotcha. that makes a little more sense haha. sorry, i wasnt hatin on the vid, the tach and the sound of the other car threw me off

  • i Came OMG!

  • holy shit, thats a bad ass mustang!

  • 125 that is fast

  • jesus christ that was quick

  • Oh my jizzm

  • ....DAMN

  • nice,very nice

  • How are you able to get around smog? or does it still pass

  • @tliggexperience I still had all the smog stuff. The intake, plenum, throttle body, etc. were all stock (not any more though).

  • Brutal

  • 'sir pull over.'..............'aw fuck.'

  • @areyouvicious There is no speed limit on a dragstrip

  • man that is quick

  • Damn I timed 3.8sec 0-60 and 8.7sec 0-100....thats crazy fast haha

  • @superdriver777 i thought you were crazy when i read this, but i timed EXACTLY the same thing haha

  • @1greanmachine1 Car is making about 130 more HP now with my new set-up. My last timeslip shows 101 mph in 7.0 seconds (1/8th mile time on a dragstrip).

  • @TGarzarel this was a q.m run? what was ur time sumwhere around 12's? and what times r u runnin now?

  • @mikesandytoes It was a 1/4 mile run. The time was a 12 flat. Now I am running high-10's on slicks with about 100 more whp.

  • @TGarzarel sweet, sex on wheels!!! post more vids, maybe of you on the street if u get down like that if not just put more!!!

  • 125 in 4th gear, not too shabby. what rpm are you runnin at 100 mph

  • @MrMicas101 around 4.9-5k

  • its ok.

  • @OldsPowered69 Its a blown mustang gt, ive seen them trap 120+ all the time, a 120 trap is usually a mid 12 quarter mile

  • are you aware that your are speeding in this video?

  • @shewit08 Don't worry, this was filmed on a dragstrip, not on public roads.

  • @TGarzarel i was just kidding. Nice mustang, but you should post a walk around video.

  • @shewit08 ........Whats wrong with you?

  • i could do that in my 1993 S10

  • @zeroboarderBFMV99 Maybe if you drop it off a cliff you can

  • @TGarzarel LOL i laughed so hard at this!

  • @TGarzarel you have no idea my s10 is so fast it has 80 on the dash and doesnt go much faster than that and probably get to its top speed in 20 seconds or more

  • @TGarzarel he didnt say that fast though! Nice car! im jelous hahah

  • @zeroboarderBFMV99 yes you can, but it might take you a few days to get there. I don't think they have a strip of road long enough for you.

  • i almost felt i t from my chair

  • I just think its funny that some people think this is fake. First off, why would somebody want to fake a video or claim that a car in a video they don't own is theirs? Its not like we know who anybody is on here anyway so why would it matter? Face it. The car is real. Why would he fake it? Nice car man!

  • @iwanaGoFast2010 If you look at my other videos, you'll find a clip of this car from the outside. It's on a dragstrip with ET/MPH displayed, and runs basically the same as you see here

  • @iwanaGoFast2010, any true mustang wont question this video because they know the sounds and force of a supercharger. clearly u dont know jack kid

  • @iwanaGoFast2010, lmao, have fun frolicking in your little world copernicus :))

  • @iwanaGoFast2010 dude get off this videos nuts you fag why dont you take a pic of what your drivin on the daily and show us? I bet its not anywhere close to this thing and how fast it is. personally i dont like mustangs all that much my 04 30r sti keeps me entertained but i'd run against this stang any day and im sure itd be fun

  • i call bullshit

  • dont sound supercharged, sounds like its sitting on a dyno...

  • @iwanaGoFast2010 you can hear the whine of the supercharger in the beginning

  • @smotpoker15 dickhead, if you running 14psi you would that bitch screaming

  • @iwanaGoFast2010 its a vortech, they dont whine hardly at all, they sound more or less like a loud ass fan.

  • @iwanaGoFast2010 Centrifugal blowers don't whine like twin screws. But they do make a whistling noise at idle, which you can hear in the beginning of the clip. Like I said before, look at my other video and you can see an outside view of this car on the dragstrip runnnig mid-11's at 124...bascially the same time as you see here.

  • @iwanaGoFast2010 dickhead? i didnt say anything rude you seem to be the dickhead... and belive it or not the louder the whine doesnt mean its working harder... its a vacum system it means its struggling for air... have you heard the new 2010/2011 shelbys? you cant hear the blower at all.... and they run booooost!

  • damn. nice fuckin run

  • dont need slicks, just get some aftermarket wheels and nitto nto5 285+ tires

  • 14 psi??? thats ALOT almost hard to believe she aint blew yet but hell its wicked fast, what WHP are runnin in that thing?

  • @jcmknl2005 At the time of this video, it was making 470 rwhp on race gas. After blower cams, it was up to 518 rwhp. Stock shortblock handled the power, but I always ran race gas at the dragstrip, for insurance.

  • Now that's quite fucking fast!

  • I got a 2003 mustang gt all stock and I'm looking to supercharge it in the future. I'm a college kid so I doubt I will be doing it anytime soon but i just was wondering how much it costs roughly to put one in (because I can't do it myself).

  • @Billoney87 Don't even thing about forced induction on a stock GT. Your asking for your car to be blown up. Yeah, sure you could run 10psi and be safe for a little while. But you might as well do the whole bottom end and get some forged internals. Overall your looking at a few thousand dollars to do this. You would be better off just buying a 03-04 Cobra. Not trying to bash your plan, but it's hard to do these things unless you have alot of cash sitting around.

  • 0 to 125 in 12sec

  • Stock gears in the rear end if i'm not mistaken

  • @thea5rida2 4.10's with 28" tires (255/55/17). This combo gives similar rpm-mph as 3.73s with stock tires.

  • bad ass

  • looked like it about died at the beginning

  • @djhixson88 I didn't launch it b/c I didn't have slicks.

  • @djhixson88 thats a mustang for ya

  • that things quick

  • Great video, that's damn fast for a 1999, faster than my 2011 5.0!

  • @TGarzarel Wow... I CANNOT WAIT to get my Stang... Great shifting man. That's quickkkkkkkkk

  • omg

  • that thing is tits man.

  • Hey you are getting bad fuel economy when you drive like that.

  • @jdawgy87 Yeah it probably should be measured in gpm rather than mpg. But it does well crusing on the highway, 22 mpg.

  • @TGarzarel at least you get a lot of smiles per gallon!

  • @jdawgy87 lol who gives a fuck? dam tree hugger

  • probally higher gear ration and speed is off

  • @spk9grsch Here's a clip from the outside

    youtube.com/watch?v=SS_NESi8lj0

Of course, you can still argue that the timers at the dragstrip were off...or maybe the whole clip was made with computer graphics

  • That thing is badass.....sounds great also

  • this video is lame prob right after he got his 4:10s put in he figured his speedo is way off so he decided to make a vid

  • @nsdude09 ...and don't forget that its not supercharged, sitting on a dyno, and reading KPH. Just see my other clip, where you can see bascally the same thing, but recorded by someone from the outside. Its at a dragstrip, so the ET/MPH are readily displayed.

  • @nsdude09 whats got you so mad at him to bash him and make yourself look stupid. must be one of them chevy fans. fans of the slow cars

  • Stupid... Thats kilometers per hours not miles!

  • holy crap! dont race that one in an average car.

  • thats not supercharged

  • i got 0-60 4.2sec, 100 8.5sec, 125 12sec.

  • now thats quick

  • so with the 4.10s, and the 28" tire, the speedo isnt accurate?

  • @FordsBetter516 Why isn't it accurate? You can see that the rpms match the mph for a 4.10 gear and 28" tire. Nowadays, its very simple to set the speedometer using a speedcal, or an X-cal tuner.

  • @TGarzarel theres no way you should be able to hit 60 in 2nd with 4.10s! unless its an auto (which its not).

  • @FordsBetter516 Shift point was 6200-6400 rpms. That actually takes me past 60 mph in 2nd.

  • @TGarzarel i know we cant see the rpms, but i have an 02 GT with 3.27's i think (cant remember right off hand) but i can hit around 67 in 2nd. i have seen the same year of my car with 4.10s that hit around 50 in 2nd. would adjusting the shift point make up for that much? and i know your car isnt the same year
