  • Please consider seeing an oriental medicine doctor. They are trained fo find the root cause of disease not symptoms. You can find a good one in an acupuncture school.

  • @biosphere22 I had a stem cell transplant on 3.31.11 and no longer have lupus. I did try acupuncture in the past and I ended up in the hospital for three weeks. With Lupus the immune system is overactive and has to be calmed down so what you would normally do for disease and illness you must do almost the opposite for Lupus. Not all the time but most of the time... at least in my case.

  • @treappling1

Doctor I've talked to House, It's Lupus

  • @Mikuruification Love this! Made me laugh.

  • I love your videos! i can always relate to them. Im 14 and i have Lupus. My face gets so red sometimes it looks purple-ish :'(

  • Mine is so hot too.

  • Hi! I was wondering before you get a flare up, do you get any small itchy bumps?

  • @L4z1n3ss I get small itchy bumps when I'm in the sun. I have Lupus and RA.

  • @L4z1n3ss I know this is a little late but I just came across your question... I was in a constant flare for 9 years and yes I had itchy bumps. Benadryl helped me.

  • Hello, I'm facing a very very likely diagnosis of lupus by my rheumatologist. I have a question about the malar rash. Just like an hour ago my face started getting really pink and I feel a burning sensation just as if I got a sunburn. I live in Kentucky, it's October, and I'm a college student. Not likely a sunburn. It's on my cheeks and a little on my chin. My forehead and nose appear to be clear. It's scaly on my chin. Could this be the butterfly rash? Can the butterfly rash be on the chin?

  • @faithinthedarkness It could be the butterfly rash. My chin also turns red. My nose also turns red but you don't get the redness in the creases of your nose. If it was a sunburn it would be in the crease. My rheumatologist has me take pictures of any rashes I get so i can show them to her. Usually they are gone by the time my appointment rolls around. You know how that goes. I just use my cell phone camera and show the pictures to her during my appt. It works out well.

  • How long does yours usually last? I am still trying to figure out if what I get is a malar rash or just flushing of the face. Mine looks like yours...very red cheeks, flat and feels hot...but mine tends to come and go throughout the day. It might be there for an hour or so in the morning and go away and then come back again later in the day or the evening and last a few hours and go away again...

  • @rainbowbrite24 It comes and goes like yours. My husband says he can tell when I am my worse because the rash gets worse. It is always here. I haven't had to wear blush in years! At it's best it is a light red not even pink but red.

  • Oh I am so thankful that mine isnt scarring. You must have the discoid lupus?

  • my rash itched a lot was super red my skin was raised and it bled at times I am so thankful it has cleared up tremendously I only have a bit of discoloration below my nose.
