  • Max FUCKIN' Rebo

  • @ZyxthePest fuckin' A!

  • boba fett

  • Fuck the cgi version this so much better and sounds more alien.

  • Lapti nek rocks !! Jedi Rocks doesnt rock !

  • this isnt the orginal one from the movie is ti. Oola interrupts the song by falling to the rancor pit doesn't she?

  • it IS BEST quality! :D

  • I honestly like both songs, but I like this version of Sny better because she looks like an old, washed up Vegas club singer.

  • @FridayNightDldoFight That's also why I like the original, because she sings roughly and slightly out of tune like she is a veteran singing in a sleazy bar. This makes it funny too. The new song is way too polished.

  • Max Rebo is so fuckin awesome!

  • star wars the force unleashed!

  • |Ab queck zenick fesi| |Zong jup col im in na hiz jal, ooh| |Wow!| |Wa toc peg qui dos gee pif, aah| |Joc jarraz bas deg zorze zot| |Jer wih tuster mo vey| |Qui neb be og ezen on| |Wok lapti nek seb not van| |Goc jarraz bas deg zorze zot| |Lapti nek, rat a ran wim joct co jappi qaff| |Lapti nek, kiv ba ha top wep jex pi va bep| |Lapti nek, rat a ran wim joct co jeppi quaff| |Wow!|
  • Why the hell did they take this song out of the movie!? I'd take that, what, 25-30 seconds of "Lapti Nek" over that "Jedi Rocks" shit any day!

  • I almost hate to say this, but I don't really find this scene any less awkward than Jedi Rocks. I think the musical number as a whole wasn't a good fit for this film.

  • @Schnyger This song wasn't in the original version, either. This is the soundtrack version. The original movie version is much better and shorter.

  • @TheOneartist shorter, yes. But not better.

  • @Schnyger This isn't the original. Watch and Listen to the original song and scene and you will see why it worked so well. It has a perfect tough sleazy bar feel. The singer is like a veteran with a rough slightly out of tune hard voice and this adds humour too. The Jedi Rocks scene and music is way too polished and totally loses the irony of a tough sleazy bar and singer.

  • I like the fat chick.

  • @rhyinem That's a dude

  • This happened? I don't remember this.

  • @nkrinsky14 Yeah this is the soundtrack version, not the original movie version.

  • this song is fucking genious

  • i can't beleive people are getting so mad over a scene that's a minute and 30 seconds long

  • Comment removed

  • Screw the special effect version and the new song !! The prequels sucked, THIS IS THE TRUE STAR WARS <3

  • This scene is shit. It's just slightly less shit than the other one. God, that scene was shit

  • This song is so amazingly 80s.

  • I want the weird piano!!! XDD

  • 6 people are humans

  • i think boba got a boner

  • I love how sy snootles does that panther scream at the end

  • You can totally see that green chick's nipples

  • In the special edition, they couldn't even get Sy Snootles' CG model right! Where are the tusks & the feather?

  • @Guernicaman They were erased for a reason(according to Wookiepedia).

  • Maxy! I love the Max rebo Band!

  • This is sooooooo much better than the song they replaced it with in the SE.

  • Can you imagine Palpatine getting down to this beat?

  • Singing in Huttese is Funny!

  • why lucas ditched this for the wack song in the revised version is beyond me! Lapti nek all the way baby !!

  • Best porn music ever!

  • Great song! Reminds me of wasting people as Darth Maul in all-hero mode in Battlefront II.

  • @JediHobbit89 you mean assault?

  • where can I download this masterpiece?

  • the party remix on record for this is amazing 6 minutes of epicness

  • this song is great listening whilst having sex

  • @Haplonapper YA f**k to the beat! lol

  • jedi rocks is better

  • I prefer this over Jedi Rocks. :P

  • I hope this will be in the blu-ray version

  • Jabba is dancing! Cool!

  • Max Rebo, twi'lek, exquisite dancer's leotard, so real Star Wars...so pre-NGE.

  • I don't know why, but that song reminds me about Duffy-Mercy )))

  • Muda fuck we got the gig tonight!

  • P.S. Jedi Rocks does suck and Sy Snootles movements are embarassing.

  • Ya'll shouldn't blame Lucas for gutting this, only replacing it. Marquand and/or the editors are the reason most of this was never originally seen. However if Lucas really "always wanted a musical number" in this one: he should have just reinserted most of this and digitally upgraded Sy Snoodle's movements to look less puppety.

  • 1:20 I see Twi'lek nipples >D

  • The fat chick with 6 boobs always surprised me, I thought it was just the creases in her stomach until I read she had 6 boobs.

  • @frodo322 Haha I was never really sure, what the fuck that thing was exactly... At first I thought that it was a huge woman... Then I thought that it might have been a man, with huge rolls of fat sticking out... Now I see that the actor is in fact a woman, and not a man...I think....

  • @RichardDickGrayson Haha, after doing some googling it was definitely a woman, some English actress, Claire Davenport, now deceased who played her. Initially they thought about releasing an action figure of her but it was discarded later because it was deemed too inappropriate for kids. However an action figure of her was finally released in 2008. I prefer Lapti Nek so much over Jedi Rocks. All those new musicians, it looked too cartoonish and CGI, too over the top.

  • this song is so cool

  • Jedi Rocks is a steaming pile of shit compared to this.

  • @mymatryoshka Dunno, but I like jedi rocks more.

  • @mymatryoshka

    You are ever so correct!

  • @mymatryoshka a steaming pile of redi rocks

  • @mymatryoshka Incorrect

  • @mymatryoshka Really? This one sounds like a dated disco crapfest, while Jedi Rocks is very rockable and bluesy.

  • @LisaSpringfield so, what do you want for your 12th birthday late this year?

  • @andoc I want you to suck my pussy.

  • @LisaSpringfield No thanks, I can see jailbait written all over your comment.

But if you really want your pussy eaten why don't you try a dog and penaut butter?

  • its the same scenes over and over?

  • GEORGE LUCAS WAS OUT OF HIS FREAKING MIND REPLACING SUCH A CLASSIC!!!!!

  • ohhhhhhhh yeah baby !

  • this is better than jedi rocks

  • out of all the things they could have done, they redid this scene... they could have spent that time updating the lightsaber effects or something... no... let's make a stupid new song...

  • @FreakDaMIghet I am one of the CGI objectors out there, i think its less creative, but we can all have our opinions, but i agree that the old yoda was a bit messed up, but i don't think that CGI will make it better, just make it look out of place

  • @JabMash, Thats true. Point withdrawn.

  • @FreakDaMIghet go play in traffic

  • @jordanb7624, love to.

  • @FreakDaMIghet the puppet yoda was THE REAL YODA and you have to be an ignorant fool to deny that. the original yoda was much better because he was actually interesting. i understand that its nice to use cgi now that we have it. that doesnt mean you should go back and butcher movie that were already masterpieces as they were. cgi yoda looks like something out of a crappy ps2 game and doesnt carry any of the traits that made him so interesting to begin with

  • @jordanb7624, Its just my opinion. I have OCD, so I want Yoda to look the same in every movie, and because you can't make a puppet fight and flip around, I was thinking CGI, but after a bit of though, it would look out of place. So my point is withdrawn. Now LEAVE ME ALONG, TROLLS!!!

  • when I was little, I always cried when Oolaa died

  • @painlessissuicide, Me too, but she died doing the one thing not many others have done. Tell Jabba no. You see, he was calling her to sit with him so he could...well, you know. But she was tired of it so she resisted, and even when she was standing on the trap door and she had one last chance to

  • @painlessissuicide, Me too, but she died doing the one thing not many others have done. Tell Jabba no. You see, he was calling her to sit with him so he could...well, you know. But she was tired of it so she resisted, and even when she was standing on the trap door and she had one last chance to go to him, she still said no, knowing she was better of dead than being groped and pawed b him the rest of her life.

  • You can see the twi'lek's nipples...I'm happy.

  • If i opened a bar that played this would u guys come hangout?

  • @Taud when im 21

  • The very first time I saw this movie, I thought Jabba turned Oola into the frog that he ate. I also thought that Oola was supposed to be evil.

  • @Danzigadoo666 I had the similiar impression! thanx to a really lousy VHS quality and the fact I was 4 years old :))

  • i love this song it brings me back

  • I wish painful death upon George Lucas for ruining the original trilogy.

  • Now this is WAAAAAAAAAAAAy better than Jedi Rocks.

  • This is the original track remastered, jedi rocks is the new one that sucks with the CG

  • whoever invented the max rebo band was high....a blue elephant on the piano, a topless froglady singer and a penis on the clarinett????????

  • this was on the force unleashed right? the TFU version is my favourite.

  • @thepurplecrystalz YES WHEN GALEN MAREK WAS SEARCHING FOR RAM KOTA

THIS SONG IS IN THE BACKGROUND THAT LEVEL WITH THE HOLOGRAPHIC DANCERS

    THE FORCE UNLEASHED RULES

  • this song is fucking awesome the new version of this scene is seriously a joke

  • AH! so THIS is that wierd ass song i kept hearing in BattleFront 2!!! idk which i prefer... if they gave this song a little more "oomf" for the remasters and changed that god-awful puppet (i know the cg one isnt much better, but jesus that's hideous...), then the remastered version would have a WY better sequence here... as opposed to cgi muppets singing into the camera... but the new song IS fun to play Battle Front 2 to... if only because it sounds so out of place

  • Yes Gray Leader2184

This song is in the original version from Polydor the number of the compact disk is 811 767-2 original music of the return of the Jedi.

    Regards

    Greetings from Mexico my firend

  • this song is awesome!!!

  • The version used on Return of the Jedi had it's master tapes lost, sadly. This is cool and all, but Snootles vocals sound raspier and sleazier in the film version; too bad we'll never hear that version in full.

  • This version of the song appeared on the original LP soundtrack for Ep. VI, correct?

  • i think so

  • @GrayLeader2184 yes it did - i used to have the original soundtrack when it first came out years ago.... unfortunately it was messed up.

  • @GrayLeader2184 You mean 3.

    .

  • @GrayLeader2184 I remember having this on casette in the early 90's

  • @GrayLeader2184 Yes. 100%

  • @GrayLeader2184 Hey, do you know where I can download this version? itunes only has the boring cover versions...

  • @DasHinchen I remember finding it after Googling the song title... hope that helps.

  • this is my favorite song

  • Sy snootles ripped this shit!!!!! the Max Rebo band would be nothing without snootles....and to a lesser extent the blue elephant

  • you mean max rebo

  • Arg, the "special" edition rapes this scene with, among other things, a hideous CGI Sy Snoodles. Yet, no improvement was made on the mat lines on the Rancor...

  • I LOVE THE 1980S AND I LOVE THIS SONG

  • haha thats great.

  • I cant believe Lucas tore this scene to shreds with CGI

I miss costume design in REAL LIFE

  • ya but its not that bad

  • @pavelns Return of the jedi got butchered the worst when george lucas went back to mess with them

  • @pavelns No... it IS pretty bad.

I watching the 2004 release for the first time and had my mouth dropped open the whole time.... This whole scene is totally bastardized! whats with the two singers running right up on the camera?! Immedeatly rejected the song and the additional CG... A New Hope and Empire were minimal with there extensions so it wasn't as bad sitting through those. Mostly audio re-recordings that made me go WTF?! Why?! Plus Greedo shooting first.

  • @pavelns BUT I suppose this is nothing compared to what has been done to the movies for the recent Blu-Ray release.

  • @subslament Where can one find the CGI clip?

  • 0:53 Droopy McCool fucking shit up--Awesome!

  • Comment removed

  • You should tag this video '1983' also.

Anybody remeber when MTV used to play this?

  • The REAL song!

  • WOOO i love this!!! finally the full version of this song

    thank you SO MUCH!!!!

  • Soo funky! Love this version

  • ok nvm i had to record it off of a website >.>

  • I really want this song you guys. if any of you have it can you possible send it to me? please I cannot find this at all it is not even on Frostwire. : (

  • This is so much better than the special edition crap. After seeing what he did with the special editions,we should have known that the prequels were gonna suck.

  • This is the one spot where he went wrong. The original tune is WAY more convincing.

  • Tho i prefer this version, horns section and better vocals and better drums :D

  • this is not the original

  • no its the music video but with scenes from the movie ,but not all of the shots are in this cuz thet are not in the movie

  • The original movie release has different singer.

  • This original music was better than the music in the remastered version.

George Lucas worsened over time as a producer.

  • This is the remastered version of Jaba's palace scene, I personally think the CG looks terrible but with Jim Henson dead there's no such thing as puppeteers in the movies guys... :( The new audi fuckin rocks tho....

  • thats the old 1 silly bitch

  • no it isn't, the sound is remastered, sillier bitch

  • i like cantina scene in episode IV and jabbas palace scene, here in Ep. VI because there are lots of great aliens

  • Does anyone know why there are 2 versions of this song? You can find both on YouTube. I know this is not the version on the 1995 VHS release because those are the ones that I have. When was this version of "Lapti Nek" used?

  • This is the version from the 1983 original soundtrack album, which is longer and sounds a lot different from the version in the actual film (original version). The vocals are by Annie Arbogast, who I believe also provided Sy Snootles' voice for the Special Edition's new song Jedi Rocks.

  • the original, the new ones are digital remastered

  • omg lol i've never seen this before, and i'm a die-hard starwars fan. shiiiit, i thought that 'jedi rocks' was the real version. haha i guess it's because my dad got me the remastered VHS videos when i was about three O_o

  • Man, I like this better than Jedi Rocks (which isn't bad, it's just that I like Lapti Nek better, as do a lot of other people).

  • Love that Funky Fresh Beat, Jedi Rocks can no way stand up to this epic funk!

    Gimmie the funk!

  • totally agree man. the original is better than the special edition rubbish

  • @darknipple

I LOVE the intro to Jedi Rocks, I wish they had repeated that riff more. But no, they go into something totally different, and MUCH worse than if they had just played off the riff.

  • this was the version that was played in battlefront 2

  • Yeah, except it was another singer.

  • First time I've seen Lapti Nek. I liked it, but I like Jedi Rocks too. Wish I was around in 1977 to see Star Wars in theaters.

  • EllaVader, watch the clip from the movie on youtube, and then listen to this. The vocals and musical orchestration are different. This is because the master tracks from the original song used in the movie were lost, and the only version that remains is the version on the LP which was played on radio stations.

  • I used to have the cassette tape of this soundtrack - I had a different version on that release of the cassette. -- Plez accept my apologizes - I admit my mistakes

  • It's okay, maybe I wasn't being clear enough.

  • Sy Snootles is kind of creepy as a puppet!

  • What are you talking about? The computer generated Sy Snootles is much more creepier.

  • This song was my favorite of the two. I really liked it, I wish they had just remixed it for the special edition and not done the whole new CGI band number. I ended up going out and buying the theatrical release on dvd because I prefer it so much better to the Special Edition version of Jedi.

  • far better than the new song :)

  • Comment removed

  • I wish i was jabba....

  • This always cheers me up :)

  • The singing isn't as cool, because in the movie she sounds like an alien, kind of off-pitch. This sounds too normal, like a plain old disco song. I miss the old SY Snootles voice...

  • I agree. I still like this song though.

Although I really liked it in the movie because Sy had this sexy growling voice.

  • this is the old sy snootles wtf is wrong with you... this is the ORIGINAL return of the jedi scene... the new one is the NEW sy snootles where she does that OTHER disco number...youre on somethin man.

  • The film version is different than the single version. ElectricShark is right. And this isn't the scene, this is the music video that accompanied the single.

  • JohnnySwitchblade - you must be young... this IS the ORIGINAL! Just like themysticknight said. You should see the original Jedi.... it's great.

  • I'm not a moron, I've seen Jedi many many times. This is not the version in the film, it's a single released subsequent to the film's release. Not the same version used in the film. Listen to the film version and you'll see it's different. That's what I was referring to. And I'm 17, by the way.

  • 17 -- very young.... I'm almost 37 (one month away)..... This is the original... Lapti Nek used to play on radio stations as well.. you need to see the original Return of the Jedi then - you can buy or rent it on DVD. Yes - this version was in the original movie.

  • I already told you that I've seen the original RETURN OF THE JEDI, and although this is the original SONG, it's not the same version presented in the film. I may be young, but I'm not stupid. The vocals in this version (the album version) are different than the one in the film. In the film, she doesn't even say the words "Lapti Nek". If you think they are the same, then it is YOU who needs to watch the "original Return Of The Jedi". Please don't condescend me because of my age.

  • Sorry Dude --- I thought you meant that this was not in the film at all.... You're right and I screwed up.... My fault, my mistake... I really thought you were talking about the song not in the original film.

  • are u sayng this 2 me cuz i know

  • The only outdated part was snoodles, but they could have very easily replaced the puppet snoodles with special effects

  • Why? It looked fine to begin with. I like the puppet better, it looks more realistic than the cheap CGI version which moves unnaturally.

  • You have a point there

  • This is better than Jedi Rocks. but Victory Celebration is better than Yub Nub
