You are wrong. The lobster fishermen here make peanuts but the lobster dealers are multimillionaires. And it's legal and we practically give them to them. We are really really stupid here in Canada.
I have been in OZ 5 times . I worked with SA RL and Tass Lobster . The bigest reason they do better because of ITQ or Transferable traps. . When I left Tassie lobsterd was $60 / kg Aus about $22 Cdn market in China, Taiwan, Korea and Japan as well as some to Hong Kong and Singapore.
We give them away to greasy spoon outfits like Red Lobster. Al you can eat specials! When was the last time you saw all you can eat caviar? CHeap Cheap.

You sell junk about 40% endsw up in processed product Not fit for live market, and then you folks car lobster which insures that they will be starved trash. On top of that yo have the ferry which is a subsidy of $1 per pound! You SWNS fishermen are a joke!
new season getting underway soon..i was down there 2 weeks ago..didnt see anything going on..but well worth the drive..it's now oct 5th when would you say i should drive down again and would be able to find captains to work for..also i need to rent a small house or appartment..while i'm there..do you know of any? do you guys sleep on these boats or return home everynight? o.k all the info you can help with would be great..and thanks again! much appreciated!

@orionsgolfer Lobsters increase each each so we are happy with what the buyer pay us and would take less to help buyers and the government if asked.

Even Parts of NZ and South OZ put SWNS to shame.
