Snow is not a newly created character. There is actually a Blassreiter comic that has Snow on its front cover. It's of an earlier time in the story.

Too much drama. Every five seconds someone dies or does dramatic speeches. Probably ok for a japanese audience, but it looks rather overdone. Why do they introduce a character (=Snow)just to kill her off again ? That makes no sense at all. It was pobably done just for adding something to Josephs grief, but you would think that he has suffered enough by now. But thats the japanese lust for suffering that shines through here. Its oh so heroic.
