  • the librarian was mr bean's girlfriend! hahaha

  • Jeremy Goode wouldn't stand for that :P

  • just a classy well written comedy.... that little britain trash i once watched was a disgrace, built up on men in women's dresses and retarded one liners

  • @slapmyfunkybass I agree. Little Britain is way overated. This show out classes it in every way.

  • I'd burn the frigging library! XD

  • Not now Silent Singer!

  • absolutley superb!!

  • she used to go out with Mark in Eastenders- she was a heroin addict- just sayin

  • our librarian clears our fines every time and they're usually about £40!!! lol

  • I HATE THIS SHOW!!!!!! I DON'T KNOW WHY I GUESS IT's PRETTY FUNNY.. I DON'T KNOW BUT I JUST HATE IT!!!

  • @NikolaMackic

WHY ARE YOU WRITING IN CAPS AND COMMENTING ON A VIDEO OF A SHOW YOU HATE?...-.-...

  • Thumbs up if you came here because of Stewart Lee's Comedy Vehicle!

  • Thumbs up if you came here because of stewart lee's comdey vehicle!

  • Oooh that's Matilda Ziegler :D love her!

    Oh library fines :\ loll

  • T_T I hate library fines...

  • This reminds me of the time I had a £20 fine on 4 books I had, which I returned, and I blamed the library for not sending a letter out to me, I ended up paying £5 because that's all I had on me. Then when I went to the library again a few weeks after to get some more books, the librarian cleared my £15 fine as she thought it was a mistake, I didn't even say anything of the fine, I was just silent waiting for her to realise

  • Rick Spleen is David Brent is Larry David is George Costanza is...sigh, me. Hilarious, nevertheless.

  • I just love how there are so many American vs Britain comments on Youtube... sometimes it's the whole reason why I come onto Youtube :P

  • My Dad writes this

  • @HibbeSinclair Really?

  • @wizardofboogieland yeah, writes with Jack Dee

  • fuck ads

  • So is this trying to be like Curb Your Enthusiasm? Please God no...

  • @ThreeEyedGod no... but america is making their own "lead balloon" so i dont think american audiences think its copying "curb your enthusiasm"

  • my library has a max charge of £10

    talk about taking the piss

  • There's really no need to compare Lead Balloon and Curb. I'm pretty sure "Britain's answer to Curb Your Enthusiasm" is just something the media said. Probably in the same way they called How To Make It in America the "New York Entourage". The media is just fond of comparisons like that. I personally think they are pretty different shows. The humour especially.

  • Please do not tell me an American is whining about us ruining one of their shows?

    I begin:

    The Office

    Absolutely Fabulous

    The Young Ones

    One Foot in the Grave

  • what i find hilarious...is that some people, mainly americans, can't like 2 things that may look similar. there has to be a 'one or the other'

i love lead balloon and i also love CYE

i love the office uk and i love the office us.

the reason you don't compare american shows with british shows is because british and american humour is different to each other, so they can't be related.

also, american humour dosen't require as much thinking as british humour, probably why americans hate them!

  • @BlueberryPancakes1 Since the majority of Britis watch american comdedy (family guy, simpsons, freinds, american dad) it seems that they like american humour. Lets also not go into how almost all movies in british theatres are american.

  • @quiksilverrules14

Friends has been dead for a loong time now, we like their cartoons basically.

  • CYE is the greatest show ever. But Lead Balloon is homage to it, not a rip off.

I'll bet those folks attacking it for being different to CYE and not understanding why Jack Dee's character is funny, would also assert that the American version of The Office is better than the British one. But if you met them in real life, they'd say 'Oh like, Monty Python! Like, I love those guys! Like Monty Python, woah." And they'd be waiting for a response, but what response is there to that?

  • Comment removed

  • I feel like they intend the audience to side with the librarian because of course as always he's trying to avoid responsibilities decent people don't have a problem with, but she was a real bitch about the way she tried to make him pay, especially as he's doing the show she could atleast have said pay another time?? So I'm just kind of left wondering when I was supposed to laugh

  • To all the CURBist whiners: I'm, like, so agreeing with you, dudes? How dare another country produce a comedy show which has similar themes to an American one - it's an outrage! We saved their Limey asses 17 times and they bla bla bla ...

  • It's like an English version of Curb Your Enthusiasm. He should stick to what he's good at.

  • NO WHERE NEAR CLOSE TO CURB!

  • larry david would have explained, in detail, why it so stupid, this guy just skimmed it

  • its down to you to fill in the gaps...Can't expect to be spoon-fed...

  • @kinamod2k No it's not. The "gaps" are what makes Curb Your Enthusiasm so funny. If i was to make a joke about a spoon, using your logic, I would just say look at this spoon. It would be up to you to fill in the gaps.

  • Aaaah now I know where I recognize that Librarians face...... she used to play Mr Beans girlfriend

  • Well spotted. I also tought I recognized her but couldn't remember where. Now I can see.

  • CURBISH??!!!

    Curb is comic genius,

The way this is filmed is sloppy.

The lines are sloppy and repetitive.

    The scenes don't go anywhere.

It is too wordy and the audience aren't allowed to contribute to it.

There is no tension, it's just drab.

Curb your enthusiasm for Lead Balloon.

  • It never fails to make me laugh at how irate people get over shows they claim to find boring.

Why seek out clips on the internet if you don't like the show?

CYE is brilliant, but Lead Balloon is very funny too. As for scenes not going anywhere, why not try actually watching an entire episode? That way you'll understand the pay off with regard to the jokes.

  • LOL I love lead balloon

  • I love this show, especially since I lost all my Curb Your Enthusiasm DVDs. And my sense of humour.

  • ouch

  • so curbish. i love it

  • shit balloon

  • Rubbish...

  • that librarian is annoying as shit man

    x

  • Every library worker looks like that!

  • hilarioussssssssssssssssssssssssssss

  • first!
