  • what is the name of the song in this?

  • @purewhitepiano Brimstone/ I burn for you by the police. There was sting tracks as well on this sountrack!

  • I enjoyed the film. a wonderful cast. Would have liked to have seen sting in a few more films like this.

  • Very creepy film. Sting was perfect for this role!

  • Terrific film & Sting was never better...is there any way to post clips of the film? Thanks!

  • my god why are all musical films featuring famous rock musicians so disturbing/unusual (Tommy, The Wall. I think the only one ive seen thats more regular and not disturbing/unusual was Quadrophenia, which also happens to feature Sting!)

  • OK, I've only seen the BBC play that also starred Denholm Elliot and was going to purchase it but then see this is cheaper and don't know if it is any good. For anyone that's seen both what are your thoughts on this?

  • @webothlovesoup-the play is more political and the movie is more vioent and sexual. It has a great soundtrack and Sting is just wonderful, too bad he never did anything else this good.

  • Good film.

  • Wäre cool, wenn jemand mal das komplette Instrumentalstück "Brimstone & Treacle" hochladen könnte! Ist nämlich richtig geil!!!!

  • I'd like to see this movie. Good job on the trailer!

  • Just saw this for the first time tonight and I was completely caught from the first frame to the last!! Actually, I still got shivers running up and down my spine.

Amazing performances by all of the actors! Sting was perfect for the role of Martin.

I like your trailer, you captured the general mood and atmosphere of the movie very well!

  • I bought this one today for one pound.Great deal i think.

  • @ERKA76 where

  • Car boot

  • @Radzik1976 is it good and why do you like this film?

  • @Radzik1976 is it good and why do you like this film?

  • Why the negative comments about this film? Any acting deficiencies (if they are there, any small mistakes in production are negated by the overwhelming message.

This film must rate as one of the most powerful in the whole of the arts industry thorughout history. It gets you thinking. It makes you question so many aspects of this life we live in.

  • YEA SKINOMAX, great film but thank GOD for skin O max in my youth!!!

  • It's one of Sting's better rolls and I think it's cool that he chose to do a VERY indie British film because, even by '81, I'm sure Hollywood was calling. This would never happen today, so it's great that this exists. Also, The Police made some great music for this film.

  • I remember this film, thought it was quite good at the time, didnt think sting was all that bad in it considering he's not an actor but he did have a certain charisma in the part..good job on the trailer though..

  • Sting is adorable!

  • Awsome movie. Freaky lol

    Sting's a good actor.

Better soundtrack then even Yellow Submarine haha (Don't stone me to death for that comment, please O_o

  • it seems to be a movie worth watching even without sting...does anyone know how to get it? Noone knows it here...

  • Amazon - dvd

  • thank you! i guess the shipping will cost me much more than the dvd itself, but it's worth it.

  • Not a bad trailer but it was a bit unfocused. If I hadn't seen the film already, I might still not be sure what it's about. I would cut it to under 1.30 and make it build up more. Good choice of music.

  • I agree about your "unfocused" comment, but this was intended to have a voiceover, which I didn't get the chance to add.

It was created six years ago, so the chances of it being cut down are pretty slim...too many other priorities.

The music is from the film's soundtrack.

  • Sting did a great job playing a deviant in this movie. I thought it was fantastic and the soundtrack is awesome.

  • What a dumb title for a film. Then again, nothing really cured Patricia's disabled state until after the fact that she was raped. I saw this movie in the 80s, but I knew the Police much early Bfore I watched this film and was surprised to see Sting as an actor. He did make an awesome psycho in the story.

  • It's not a dumb title at all. If you understand the meaning of the story than the title makes a lot of sence.

  • Then again, you were reading my comment, but you either didn't comprehend it or you weren't reading between the lines and getting my point. So keep your own ideas and messages separate from mine the next time you come around.

    ¿Que Entiende?

  • no need to get all high and mighty. I'll react to whatever I want.

  • ElectricWallpaper...You mean you cut this trailer? Its fantastic!

This film creeped us all out as kids as we were (and still are) massive Sting/Police fans and would watch anything with him in it.

Now as an adult I can appreciate the dark and twisted tale of Martin. Thanks for posting this!

  • This is a very dark movie with a screen play by Dennis Potter. The entire cast is really great but Sting was never better. Great sountrack by the Police, lots of nudity and perversion. Check it out.

  • I just bought the DVD through Amazon at a great price. Sting is great in this film.

  • This film is pretty messed up, but if you like dark, bizarre films, Sting, and vintage if little known Police music, you'll want to give it a looksy. It's available on Netflix, but difficult to find otherwise since (I believe) it's out of print.

  • The soundtrack has been released on CD. Check Amazon or eBay.

  • That was a great film. Can you edit the Miss Holdsworth scene?

  • Why?

  • Because that was the incident that started the whole avalanche.

  • Wasn't she the secretary that was in the office blow job scene? If so, why edit it? That was the funniest part of the movie.

  • That's why I want to see that one scene, so I don't have to watch the whole movie. I have the DVD but no edit software.

  • Very good trail. I always preferred the original play with Michael Kitchen to the film though
