The people residing on the Earth had to come off for humanity to grow, evolve and achieve it's destiny. The greed and selfishness of never ending old types residing on the earth would always lead to groups like the Titans and tyranny in general because they would never have the capacity to become more than individuals, they would not be able to truly understand their fellow man.

@NitsuaXepher What Char is doing seemed wrong but by the time side 7 was built in 0079 only 10% of humanity lived on the earth, by CCA it was less than that. The asteroid would force the rest off to join with their brothers and sisters and finally become one with them in the future.

Truly a great sad cliffhanger conclusion for Zeta Gundam. This series showed the depressing sides of wars, even going as far as showing that even main character himself might not get a happy ending, even after all the sad deaths of families and friends he had to go through.

If Kamille had overpowered him with the suit that would have been nicer for me, but he didn't. It was just that The O was stalled and Kamille goes "BOOM!"...just kind of blah.

@Aimingforcute The fact that Kamille was a Newtype had nothing to do with The O 'freezing' had nothing to do with it. When the bio-sensor went live it locked up The O due to The O having a Bio-sensor built in as well.

That's also why Kamille was acting strange near the end. Scirocco managed to use the bio-sensor built into Zeta to screw Kamilles brain up.

no, Kamille just went insane due to many traumatic experiences he had during the entire series and Scirocco's last Newtype mental attack before he died.

He comes out few times in the sequel series ZZ Gundam. He doesn't fully recover until the last episode, though he briefly helped protagonists in the middle of series with his Newtype power (still mental though).

well in this series, they show the side of how the side of using their new type abilities to deal damage to each other. For example when Haman face off with Scricco, they tried to crush each other with psychic hit through their new type abilities instead of MS weapons.

And when Camille drives his wave rider into The-O, Scirocco was hit by Camille's new type pressure, so he was demobilized. In the PS2 game SD Gundam G Generation spirits, there is a effect that new type generates pressure causing their opponents to call off their attacks/ counter attacks. So in their theory, new types are possible to do certain "damage".
