@transphatsmile she sings about her home country Ethiopia and its centuries old histories. She is praising and how proud she's about her country and express her resentment/worries towards recent ethnic division which is affecting the social fabric.
@theoyess i figured it was something like that. do you know if there are any English translations of the poetry/lyrics anywhere on line. or perhaps written out Ethiopian ones that i could spend hours trying to decipher(if nothing else?). i've seen her say that the hardest thing is that people might not know what she's saying. i hear a lot of music in different languages.sometimes i feel like i know what they're saying even though i don't know the language.

I have no word to describe my luv & admiration to Ejigayew Shibabaw(Gigi)!I think u need to be a real Ethiopian to sing such a beautiful song with such powerful lyrics!Ethiopia is so beautiful cus
