Why are people only classed as 'important' if they earn a lot of money (ie doctors, politicans)? It doesn't make them a better person. Money doesn't buy class after all. I treat everyone the same. I respect all decent people whether they are older or younger than me.

2/2 which was not really clearly pronounced in the video...
Third thing...it's also picky and advanced (maybe somebody is interested in it) we have accents...so for example here "buonasera" is pronounced with an open "e"..u could hear it also pronounced with closed "e"..the same for "scusi" here is pronounced with the second "s" as an "s" (phonetic system) most of the time is pronounced as a "z" "scuzi" (phonetic system)...bye!
Hi! I just came here by chance....i want to precise that Salve is considered by young generations as a formal greeting, but it happened to me to observe that for example at university many professors considered Salve as uninformal and therefore inappropriate...(yes it is being picky but maybe u need to know it)
It's also important to notice that the difference between Ciao (hello and goodbye) or Scusi (excuse me or i'm sorry) is made by voice's inflexion or intonation 1/2
Hey, thanks for uploading these. It helps a lot to be able to hear the words being spoken, rather than simply trying to sound them out with the aid of my grammar book.
You know how in English when you greet someone with "good afternoon", "good evening", or say farewell with "good night". Are the italian ones used in the same context?
So I'd say "buona notte" to say "good night" to someone as in farewell?
I really want to learn Italian. It is definitely one of the things i would like to focus on for the new year. Good thing i know Spanish and English, it helps with the pronunciation.
di=than e'= is io ho = i have tu hai= you have lui ha= he has lei ha= has no abbiamo= we have voi avete = you pluros? loi hanno= they have io sono= i am bravo= well done piu'= more telefono=telephon less= meno some basic words
@Romanorudeboy Italian grammar is definitely more difficult than Spanish. Moreover, Italian is usually more difficult to use properly. Most people who study Italian and think they are quite good, aren't understood by natives when they come to Italy and try to speak. But it is quite easy to learn for a Spanish native or a French one.
italian is not easy, the grammar is so hard in particular for english people (like the pronunciation)... there are many tenses difficult to learn... two years (even if you've decided to move in italy) are not enough to speak it fluently and write it correctly!! sorry this is the truth..
@darkoruncev I heard lots of people saying that Italian is easy, and then they weren't completely unable to conjugate verbs in phrases, but they also claimed to be understood! :P
Ciao, mi chaimo Andre lol ok my Girlfriend is a beautiful Italian girl i am dying to go to Italy to see her and i want to surprise her with speaking Italian what cd could buy that teaches?
@ly2rics Buy I don't know how much time do you have, but speaking fluently in Italian is not asy and I think that to achieve something decent two years of study are needed, at least. But you could do something very cute learning not the whole language, but only some romantic phrases, you will find quite enough stuff on You Tube.
@KingMacintosh Ahah, thanks. I'm from one of the towns that produces the best Mozzarella cheese in the world, made with buffalos milk. I had it for dinner tonight too! :D
ok well what does muta bena or however you spell that...its off of Twilight and Esme says it in the kitchen???? I have done so much research and I have NO idea what she says can anyone help??
Grazie for the video! Hopefully after a few more videos I will be able to form a decent sentence in Italian!! Loving the lessons so far!!

but my friend in italy says good afternoon is buona sera, which one is correct :)
lidyamarshella 1 year ago
Hey quick question:
You know how in English when you greet someone with "good afternoon", "good evening", or say farewell with "good night". Are the italian ones used in the same context?
So I'd say "buona notte" to say "good night" to someone as in farewell?
Kawnification 1 year ago
Yes you do use them in the same context.
In Italian there's no difference in greeting when you meet someone or farewell.
So "Buona notte" is used in farewell but also in meeting one, as well as all the other ways of greeting.

Yes you do use them in the same context.
In Italian there's no difference in the use of greetings when you meet someone or farewell.
So for example in this case you'd use "Buona notte" both when you meet someone or as a farewell.
MrUrgando 1 year ago
@Kawnification
We usually say "Buona notte" if we think the interlocutor is going to sleep. Otherwise, "Buona sera" is more common.
