You can make a reception (even after going out of bounds) if the defender catches the ball first and the receiver takes it from his hands. This is what happened, but the Rebels got screwed again by a head official from the the state of Alabama. I have a feeling even the officials won't make much of a difference this season. Starting a Parade All-American RB and QB this year as well as 3 starting All-American defensive linemen will make Ole Miss the surprise team of the West.

Again..an ineligible receiver can make a legal catch if the ball is caught first by the defender. Go look it up. It's just like a basketball player saving a ball from out of bounds. If someone else touches it first, then the ineligible player can legally touch it again. The reason this matter is rarely discussed is because you don't see many defenders intercept a pass and then then have it taken right out their hands. But it happened, and the Rebels were screwed.

He ran out of bounds and they both pretty much touched the ball at the same time. Even if they did give it to you. Who's to say you score with a few seconds left? It was pretty much a miracle play and I would be ticked to if it had happened to us. We were screwed in the LSU game after cadell made a great catch inside the 10 but was overturned. If that had been at LSU or Auburn, they would not have thought twice about overturning it.

Our f'ball program has been to the depths of hell,I'm talking Ole Miss and Ms St. depths,and we have probation recruited players,most of which weren't recruited by any notable schools.Saban will have winners in there,but it'll take about 2 more yrs to see it.He's said since his opening press conference that it's going to take getting his players and time.Bama will be back,soon !!

Wow. Looks like Mississippi has the bullied-child complex. Trashing the field is one thing; shouting obscene cheers; throwing bottles that bloody media. I now can't view the footage hoping UM gets the call as the underdog. It's just a game. Grow up.
