I don't believe the Tea Party has any particular love of Bush. Bush tried for the pathway to citizenship for illegals, after all. The bailout in 2008 was also passed by the democrats, if you will remember. 54% of Republicans voted against Bush's bailout on the 2nd vote, and the 2nd vote was only needed because Republicans managed to defeat it the first time.
The Tea Party didn't downgrade the credit rating, opposition to the Tea Party did. S&P wanted to see more, not less, deficit reduction.

So doing the math, if Mr. Obama's spending jag continues as is, he would run up almost $13 trillion in debt if he serves two terms. That's nearly three times what Bush did and far more than any president in American history.

I don't believe the Tea Party has any particular love of Bush. Bush tried for the pathway to citizenship for illegals, after all. The bailout in 2008 was also passed by the democrats, if you will remember. 54% of Republicans voted against Bush's bailout on the 2nd vote, and the 2nd vote was only needed because Republicans managed to defeat it the first time.
The Tea Party didn't downgrade the credit rating, opposition to the Tea Party did. S&P wanted to see more, not less, deficit reduction.
