Hey man nice video. im subscribing now! Id be careful stretching that spring. A little wont hurt, but it stops the internal governor fronm stopping the throttle, and makes the engine into higher RPMS. Id just be nervous to throw your rod! Check out my videos!

@TrueLeGiTShoTZ yeah probably but these have very low performance engines in them that aren't meant to be used at a high RPM so you could possibly blow it...

hey i seen your video and you look like you know some stuff. i got a problem my mini baja bike does ok for about 5 min's of runing it down the street then it just shuts off randomly like it cant get gas or somthing ive had to walk it to my house like 5 times now 1 mile each time and its makeing me mad i need help please.

@hwswagg Sounds like it may be overheating, I would check your oil levels, and also, if you aren't too afraid, take the engine shroud off and check for mouse nests, you will know them when you see them. If there are any there, clean them out and put the shroud back on. Other than that, check your carb settings. You can find the stock settings online somewhere. Just be careful not to mess up anything and I am not responsible for anything that happens to you or your mini bike

you might want to check the spark plug, or the oil. btw the spark plug should be right under the seat

One last point - i saw a video about putting a counter spring pulling the governor armin the opposite direction. all that did was severly limit the performance even though it "seems" to open the throttle all the way open.

I made the mistake of taking the governor arm off to adjust the rod placing to the throttle. after putting back on the throttle is not manipulating the carb at all. Very indirect how this is being operated and not sure how to get back to stock! any advise?

@StickPeopleAndPuff well. it depends what kind of deal you get. i would have never paid the full retail for these. i got them new for 300 each. another thing to consider is your size and how long you will have to ride them. right now i am 17 and 6 feet and 8 inches tall. yeah, it is not that much fun anymore when your feet are dragging the ground and your knees are hitting the handle bars

Im not suggesting that you go full throttle until it runs out of gas. this video just allows you to give your bike with a little more get up and go, but anyways thanks for your comment.

@Promo313 The answer is you dont want it tight or loose. You want in between. When you take the chain between your fingers it should move no more than 1 in up or down, and that is a good window to stay in. If you need help on how to adjust it just tell me and ill make a video.

uhm i wonder if he reises that those engines are governd, and no matter how much power u try to gain its still governd to 3600 rpm. if u want to get the engines red lined power and see the power u gain from these tweeks in the vid, u have to remove or bypass the govener

@kobned the mini bikes come from the factory under tuned. so even if what you say about the 3600 rpm is true, it wouldnt even matter because all im doing is changing the fuel/air ratio and backing off the throttle stop.

Very good video, I too also purchased two Mini Bajas last fall. When the bikes were running they ran great. Towards the end of the season both of them started to stall and sputter. And now they will not even start, any suggestions. Or do you know of a web site where I can learn how to tuen them up?

@volvo593 if the season your wre talking about was winter then the problem is probably a gummed up carb. if that is not the problem check air filter, and if it is misfiring check the sparkplug( condition and gap). most likely you just need to replace the fuel and clean the carb

hey what i would do if you still have the oil that the mini bike came with you need to change it if you dident i had the same proplem then i found out that the oil that came with is only good for like 2 hours of riding just change it and dont put to much on or it will stall agen because theres a senser that monters how much if to little it wont stat and to much will start but then it wont start if you stoped it try that
