@Laurelindo I think it's official name is Egyptian Temple but yeah I agree it's shortened name is not consistant with the rest of the levels in the game. The Streets level isn't called St Petersburg for example.

I'm sure many of us here have played it extensively as well as Perfect Dark when that came out. It's no secret to any experienced GE007 or PD player that Rare are the kings of confusion... intentional and unintentional. This is probably just another one of those things that Rare does to confuse us and get us to ask questions.

i know it its no mysterie.ok crypt is what the level was going to called but got removed and creaters forgot to remove the name from the watch.its solved
maybe that is the original name of the level. i know baron sam is i roger moore film, but i forget which one at the moment, but maybe it is referring to a place in the movie. idk. but the best thing i can think of is that it was the original title of the level, and they forgot to change it since they were running on a deadline or something/.
Citadel wasn't one of the 2 bonus levels and is only playable via a gameshark. To get Aztec, the first bonus stage, beat all levels on Secret Agent. To get Egypt (or Crypt) you have to beat all levels, including Aztec on 00 agent.
For the same reason the Frigate briefing tells you you will fight Xenia and the Dam briefing tells you you will need the piton gun and flare pistol. The BETA version of the game has many many leftovers in the final release. It's really cool actually.
It's because it was originally called crypt but they scrapped it because it wasn't good enough lol. Not a glitch, just some stupid Rare person (I think it was Ken Lobb)forgot to f***ing proofread this freakin thing.

This level was originally called "Crypt" It said so on a cheat code book i got. I believe thats the name they used for the beta version of goldeneye

There is an easier way to get cheats search on google. its like the 24th cheat and 25th just the code must be placed on the cheat menu.
