I shot a coon like that before, it didnt die, it just sat there stuck to the ground hurting. I thought about steping on its head or something but didnt want to get too close. So I just let it bleed out and die on its own.

I just like shooting them to do away with them on my property, guess everyone thinks thats wrong, but I dont want them fuckin shit up.

I think you have a point there. Most of what the information on the net gives about how to get rid of raccoons is ineffective. And for a lot of people, the only way to prevent raccoons from causing trouble is to kill them. In fact, killing raccoons works better than relocate them somewhere else so that someone else can have problems with them.

that was actaully a good shot i am a licensed hunter and but one thing is you shouldnt barge in and chase it, use stealth and hunt in daylight and if you want a clean fast and painless kill use a .22LR the work great and most of mine die instantly
