  • @yoyomismoyerpako Yes, it's standard tuning, and my guitar was made in Madrid.

The song uses a lot of major 7ths, minor 7ths, and diminished chords. Also some 9th chords. They're not beginner chords, but keep playing. If you like this style of music you'll run across these chords and learn them.

  • BTW, I've heard some of your stuff. You're a talented musician!

  • I seldom use the built-in microphones. They work fine, but they're high impedence, which means they pick up sounds throughout my house. Rather, I plug in a low impedence microphone that picks up sounds within a few inches, maybe a foot or so. It helps eliminate household sounds getting on my recordings.

  • Love the 40's. Great job.

  • Big and sweet.. congratulations.

  • What an amazing job you did on this song! Please let me know when you have a CD available. My favorite eras for music is from the 20's through the 40's, the harmonies and melodies were fantastic.

    Thanks, Steve

  • Takes me beck to WWII. I was about 9 years old and loved this song.

  • Phil, I also love that period, and have posted about a dozen other songs from the era. Click on "more from ellipsis1771," and they'll pop up. I've done about sixteen now, but only about a dozen are on YouTube.

  • HARMONYS GOOD MAN KEEP IT UP

  • Spot on! You`ve really got a feel for the era. Keep on pluckin`...Roy.

  • lovely and lovely channel.

    michael

  • hey man great job!

ive noticed that you like alot of oldies

    Thats cool.

  • Right you are, Poopie. I'm trying to fill a CD with songs from the 40s. I've done 8 so far. My roots are 60s rock, but I have definitely developed a fond appreciation for music from the 40s. Maybe born too late. =)

  • but thats cool its really beautiful.

app how long long does it take you to record a full song

  • Thanks, man. It probably takes between four and six hours to do an entire song. This one has two guitar parts, bass, and four-part harmony. So that's going through the whole thing seven times. Plus it takes a while to figure out the harmony parts. I usually do the lead vocal all over again once everything else is completed--I can put more into it then because it's like singing with an orchestra rather than just a guitar.

You seem to developed a great musical appreciation for one so young.

  • sweet

yeah my dad got me into bands like led zepplin and acdc when i was young

and have developed a real passion for the blues
