Eddie had many issues one major one was Paul's death and the replacement of him prior to his death. Plus he had issues with management and how the group was being handled and paid as well and were not allowed to particpate in the writing creativity and producing of their own music. He liked ballards not the pyscheldic area that the group went through and finally decided to leave and do his own thing which was a success initially but did not last long
Ok, don't get mad, this is just me wondering out loud. But does anyone else think that maybe Eddie became a little disenfranchised with the temps after Dennis joined the group. True Eddie is one fine mofo and my favorite, but until then he was the pretty boy of the group (although I think they'r all fine). I've heard Eddie in interviews say that he didn't like the new direction the music was going in & that he had wanted to leave years b4, but i wonder why he would give it all up.
I think it was because Eddie became disheartened with the direction the group was going in. If you are unhappy at your job and don't get along with certain co-workers, why stay? He felt the group was NOT respected by Berry Gordy/Motown and that they were ripping the Temps off financially. Eddie also wanted the same creative freedom Smokey, Stevie, and Marvin had (i.e. writing and producing YOUR OWN MUSIC).
Dennis is one fine sexy mofo, and it don't hurt that he can sing. To me he's one of the best lead singer replacements in history. I love this video, thanks for uploading.
great quality ;)
