To answer your comment, I never even thought that I was the first European to live in Okinawa for Karate and Kobudo in from 1985 until last april when I was in Okinawa and helping a karate magazine to interview some karate and kobudo masters and some told me that I was the first european to live in Okinawa in a dojo to study karate and kobudo . I also lived 15 years in Japan and taught karate for more than 10 years near Tokyo until 2003.
