  • @fasteddy60 so is there any prison that you want to be in? can't imagine any prison that anybody want to go there...unless u have been to one. lol

  • @CarterKhang first of all your right! Prisons suck, never been ,don't want to.

Secondly,I'm not engaged to the woman from HCMC anymore(that's a good thing I suppose, lol) so I going back to Da Nang in Jan.2012 to have fun and enjoy my life there.

  • @fasteddy60 man good luck to u..but careful with those girls in VN dude...i been there done that and regret for the rest of my life, never again dude....anyway good luck.

  • You certainly don't anything to do with cops over there do you ?

  • the one cop without a name tag told me he gave the man a ticket for public nuissance and an order for appearance before judge at district court No.5 in downtown Saigon (pardon HCMC) to come and dispute the ticket ...yeeah right (in vietnam a police men is issued a new ticketing book every day right after yesterdays copies are shredded)

  • nice video quality :))

  • they are not supposed to hit or threatening by using the bat and seemed to hit him...just get the cuff and carry him already. that "thief" seem to scared so the police needs to calm him down first instead of acting like that...it's not wrong but =.=

  • shit.. cho may cai toi cuop tiem vang... chan song...

  • OMFG NOT THE BAT D;

  • pretty average eh

  • Still less brutal than US Police. lol

  • (kc7fys) Ham call?

  • Yes. I am KC7FYS here now, I was 7J1AWL in the 90's and 2000's, as well as XV2OC during this excursion. It's in the googles.

  • I understand how the Southern ppl feel but please its not the ppl from the North fault Its the govt. The ppl was forced to do so. The North ppl lost their freedom too. We should all stand up and fight for the freedom not blaming on the N. ppl.

  • The guy is probably a thief...cuz a gangster would probably be in a group and they probably have knives too!

  • his a thief not a gangster

  • Whoever told you that guy is a "gangster" probly meant he was a thief :-) Vietnamese gangster doesn't look like that

  • fucking lawless vietcong with no respect for basic human rights. fucking cho' dde? cong an.

  • HCM is rotting in his grave. Shut the hell up.

  • LOL

  • Hi, i am actually born in Italy but have Vietnamese parents. Was just viewing some Vietnamese stuff around and found this.

First of all those guys weren't police men. I remember when i have been in Vietnam, i lost my hotel ticket and asked to those guys where to find help.

I've read on their right arm "Bao Ve". "Bao ve" means "Security" and not Police. Those guys are all old as you see and they just give a hand to the police.

And so what i wanted to say. Bye.

  • You are right. Thanks.

  • @kc7fys

    was this near backpackers district?

    all looks the same.

  • Kenzo215. This is my video. My footage. Your foul language is inappropriate for this comment--it sounds like you have something good to say, and you are free to say it. However, the image of you inserting a carrot up your own rectum is useless here. It is a vivid image, however--but might require a visit to the emergency room. This depends on the carrot, however.

  • First of all...All South V Town put your hands up...fuck the North...Fuck the North...You invaded my City, burn my home town, kill my soldier, rape my women...and now u want peace...fuck that...How's about i stick a Carrot up your asshole and said i'm sorry...would you like that??? i dont think so...it will always be war between North and South.

  • you have a really bad vietnamese history ! dont just listening to people around you , let's learn some more after you say so ! The north didn't invaded the south , ok ? The north united our country ! who said it will be war between North and South ? OMG , in fact , the vietnamese are living together peacefully and no matter with southern and northern . Honestly , problems are came from people like you ! so sick if you still keep that old opinion

  • @theincrediblejuly Hey, you know South was perfectly fine without the north "uniting" the south? Yeah. I'm sure it was fine. How many peace talks did the south commit too, but the north always broke it because their strong idea of "unifying" Vietnam. But you know, sir, you are smart, so I'm sure you understand. The north was in shambles and needed to unify the country to survive. But that is just my ignorant opinion.. right?

  • Perhaps you're right, perhaps you're wrong. I knew an 11 year old in Vietnam and I asked him "Want to come to America sometimes?" and he looked downright upset, murmuring that he hated America. He wasn't even alive at the time and he knows about it. He despised it and he still does. This was in Ho Chi Minh. The North took away the South's freedom....

  • @Kenzo215 don't forget they changed your city's name to HOCHIMINH

  • i hope u enjoyed your trip to VN. i just got got back from VN in august and i find it a lovely place, dispise what kind of government they have. Your video reminded of Vietnam alot because in ways you showed the coruption that's still exist within Vietnam. Overall, I love Vietnam when i was there, the country itself is full of scenery from North to South, I wish i was there right now =D.. n e wayz thx for posting the video..

  • Yes. Despite or maybe because of it. I find the gov't rather slow on some paperwork, but so is my own in the US. The country seems to be so resilient and positive--people don't wait around for help. They do things with the materials at hand, and they do them well.

  • stop your idiot thinking those idiot anti-communism or anti-Vietnam society ... Why didn't you open your stupid mind and think that that men is a criminal ? You are so stupid to realize that truth ? Poor you ..

  • Keep working on your English; you are doing very well so far, but need a little more work on making a clear point. A little politeness goes a long way, too, sweety.

  • yep, sorry for my slang words, I just want to argue with those people who know nothing about VN society but talk as they know clearly about it . Also, some anti-Vietnam people are too stubborn to realize that the war was over and they should adapt with the new environment instead of saying badly about VN, anti-VN society, anti-VN government. If they don't want to live in VN then OK,go away and don't talk back. That pissed me off !Btw, I will try to improve Eng. skills better ^^ thks for ur cmmt !

  • Your response was quite reasonable. I appreciate it. I'm in VN right now--three weeks.

  • So what do u think about VN? Honestly ..

  • I love it. I like the people, the food, the transportation--the way of agriculture and the diet. Families work together on farms, and fruit and vegetables and meat--is FRESH. I wish we could learn how to live from the Vietnamese.

  • stop your idiot thinking those idiot anti-communism or anti-Vietnam society ... Why did you open your stupid mind and think that men is a criminal ? You are so stupid to realize that truth ? Poor you ..

  • the next morning the found him dead

  • Stop talking about communism, that's normal. May be he's in criminal case. The U.S polices will do the same in this case...stupid, may thang chong cong ngu dot...

  • Agreed. The issue is what level of control local police need to have over people. If a man was involved in petty theft--or more--the police will treat him with an appropriate level of aggression until he is subdued. It is harsh, but that's how society works.

  • hey kc7tfys r u viet?

  • No I am not. Are you a high school student?

I thought the police were particularly brutal in this scene--that's why I shot and uploaded it. What's your remark?

  • man that stupid polive i will beat the shit out of that cop!

  • Um... O...Kay...

  • Omg, Hanoi people is worese than the Ho Chi Minh people! Just because you went to Hanoi and didn't go to HCMC you just can't criticise and say that HCMC people arn't friendly. Well the truth is Hanoi people is way mean! Not to be rude or anything. :/

  • You're not being rude, but you should know we went to both cities and spent some time there and found both to be friendly and gentle folk. There's a popular idea about Hanoi that folks there are colder--but the same is true between Osaka and Tokyo, New York and L.A. It does no good to pit one city against another. In fact, it's not true. Both are friendly.

  • I was in Vietnam and I have witnessed once when they arrested a thief . Some areas in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh may have many thieves to steal tourists' stuffs. So you must be careful with your bags. This scene is quite normal if you have witnessed same cases anywhere else. Actually, except the point of many thieves, Vietnam is very nice place, people are so sweet.

  • The people are WONDERFULLY sweet. We just had a baby, and my wife wants to take him traveling in Vietnam. We love the people and the countryside.

  • Sweet? LOOK AT THOSE COMMUNIST THEY ARE TRAITORS TO USE OVERSEA VIETNAMESE! We don't steal unlike them.

  • Try again. Your English is impenetrable.

  • Wtf how did i typed that lol. Sorry how did i put the word use there? Here lemme try again:

Sweet? LOOK AT THOSE COMMUNIST THEY ARE TRAITORS TO US OVERSEA VIETNAMESE! We don't steal unlike them.

  • How have they betrayed you? The system they have seems to serve everybody quite well. People also seem quite happy there, especially in the countryside. Also, what are you comparing this to? What do these people steal that you don't seal? Help me understand your remarks.

  • Well, after the Vietnam war the South OPPOSE greatly to communism. You know the major teachings of it like elimination of private property, every one gets the same amount of chores they do, and Hồ Chí Minh is the one who cause this chaos to happen.

  • Sure he made the Vietnamese become independent from France but that all change when his dream was to Vietnam to be united. Until the piece treaty was made, Việt Cộng cheap shot us and we became controlled. TBH, i have mix feelings of both North and South Việt Nam.

  • The man perhaps tried to steal HCM components (hcm cu` la(?ng may be)

Notice the two guards (gac cho) tried to scare him, they rose baton high but no hit counted yet, seemed to pleaes their bosses

Hainoiian is more suck than that. you wouldn't see they rising the baton, instead you would see the victim laying death

Don't put stupid comments like that when you visit VN few times. For those living there entire their lives they are still being cheated around

  • I'm sorry, but which comment was 'stupid'? My remarks are respectful and neutral.

  • hahahahahahah,i think hanoi viet is better then saigon viet,i never been to saigon but i meet some saigonese and they are not that friendly then those hanoian,i went to hanoi before and it is a very interseting place,

  • We had a lovely experience in both cities--but yes, it's true, each city's denizens feel that the other is somehow colder, less friendly or whatnot. Sounds like a healthy rivalry as between any two cities thus connected.

  • what the heck is HANOIAN? its not even a word, i think u meant northern people, and southern people, however, ive been all the way from saigon to hanoi, and i have to say this, the people in hanoi are not that friendly at all, u guys re so aggressive over like thing, we got yelled at for walking too low on the street, like wdf,

  • are you white? cuz if you are that is the only reason why you think that there is any difference between the commies.

  • VN is one country , not two. Plz do not seperate into Northen and Southern ... Look at North Korea and South Korea .. Will you happy when Vn be divided like that ?

  • The man that arrested is a ruffian. 2 men who arrest him are guards, they do their duty !

  • ...many say so, sir. Do you know him? Do you know the guards? Do you know the situation?

  • oh so...i supposed you know the situation? so..could you put it in words for us to understand...you dumb fuck

  • Thanks for your remark. I was there and I don't know the people in the incident personally--however my point was that neither of us do. (You appear to have missed that part. ;-)) Anyway, without knowing those involved, it's difficult to surmise who is the 'ruffian' and who is not. Can you you manage anything more intelligent than calling me a 'dumb f*ck?' I'd like an actual comment if you are capable.

  • I found this online:

Osin is actually the name of a Japanese movie and it was shown in Vietnam some years ago. In it, Osin, the main character, is a maid who worked very hard, saved money, and, after many difficulties, managed to escape her indenture life and created a new life for herself. In Vietnam, Vietnamese loved this movie, so much so that Osin becomes the name they associate with their dream of making a small fortune as a laborer overseas.

  • That's probably the origin of Osin but we Vietnamese use it as just meaning 'servants', not necessarily having to do with 'overseas'. But its sort of like a slang/improper word and not commonly used. The real word for servant is 'người hầu'.

  • The communist government usually using the term "we are your Servants" and Osin means servant! in contrary, the servants could put the "masters" in jail at any time with no reason at all, and the "servants" are usally driving cars, the "Masters" driving bicycles :)

  • HAHA, only a vietnamese can understand that. The communist "vowed" that if the people support them in the Vietnam War, their soldiers would be "servants to the civilians". lol, look how well that went. Co

  • Yea, that's the Osin of the vietnamese people in action

  • The osin? What is that?
