This computer would have sold more units and would have been available well into the '90s like Commodore and Apple if only Coleco hadn't rushed production. What engineer worth his salt integrates the main power source in the printer?
Huh... Didn't know I could get a reply a year later, Watcher 123. LOL!!!! But good point; that was the same argument Ford executives made back in the late 70's regarding the casualties resulting from their Bomb on Wheels-The Ford Pinto. They were hoping it would work in their defense but we know otherwise.
A Daisy wheel! I still have a huge stack of Daisy wheel paper, so every time I want to print anything I have to separate all the paper and tear off the edges.
I remember typing endless pages out of "family computing" magazine just to see 3 hours later, a christmas tree, my mom threw it out long after I moved out in 1991, oh my god i wish I still had it, and the commodore too. oh well
I miss my ADAM, i used mine for many a school report back in the good 'ole 80's. I used my commodore 64 mainly for games, while the word proccessing on the ADAM was awesome, the printer sounded like a WW1 machine gun though, you could hear it anywhere in the house, ah the memories.
It`s almost as slow as the desk top pc that i have at the moment! lol

"What engineer worth his salt integrates the main power source in the printer?"
An engineer who probably wanted to keep his job amidst pressure from his bosses to have a product out quick and dirty.
Same justification for many of Chrysler's crap.
I mean, what engineer worth his salt puts the battery inside the fender well requiring you to remove a tire just to get to it?

Sorry about that, but I just had to.

@Teucizapan1969 Steve Wozniak owned a Ford Pinto, and described it in his autobiography.

Oops... I meant Watcher3223, not Watcher123. Sorry for the typo.

This WAS my first personally-owned personal computer, bought with my own money back in 1985.
