Id assume you are using a laptop,80% of laptops ive used get a wierd interferance on the mic when the power adaptor is plugged in. so ill give you some step by step instuctions on how to fix it.

Next time you get an electrical shock from a damaged cable or something you'll probaby find it out for yourself. ;) In an electrical installation the ground (or earth) wire is your life insurance that switches off the power in case there is a problem. Now if you cut that off, maybe the buzzing is gone, but so is your life insurance (and warrenty for the product, of course).

here's a much cheaper way to not have that annoying noise happen when you're using your mac and it's internal mic to record your videos...MUTE the computer!!!! the reason you get strange noises is from the feedback that it gets when the speakers are both recording what you're saying, AND unmuted. so press that little speaker button, mute the computer, and the noise goes away. then you don't have to look silly using a phallic external microphone....
