@goodoldgrim I have to say that Dark Passion Play was waaaaaaaaay better than this, They kept the sound of the band, even when the voice was not good in almost all the album, save Meadows of Heaven and the last part of The Poet and The Pendulum. Within Temptation went too far for my taste, this is plain and simple rock/pop. I mean they sound like .... aww man I can even say it, is too much. Hope one day they can come back to the good days and give us sth like Mother Earth.

@DanasLilMakeup I hope you 're comparing the two bands evolutions (nightwish and WT) instead of mistaking Dark Passion Play for a WT release. This apart, I have to say that I like this album though i prefer heart of everything that is for me their best! Mother of earth was good, but not all songs had the quality of mother earth, which is the song that made me come to their music.Concerning good female singers, now I prefer to listen to Epica, especially Divine Conspiracy!

@rosaespirit I am, and in this sense, you don't need to change your style to do something creative. Is ok, Sharon's voice changed whe the pregnacy, but you can always adapt your music to your voice, and NW, even when Anette's voice is completely different to the previous singer, Tarja Turunen, they managed to create music with the same core but with her voice, and even when heaters say sth different, I liked it. for WT, i'll wait until the next album, i simply didn't like this stuff.

@DanasLilMakeup This I easily understand and I won't argue. I just bought the album, so I had time to listen to it with more attention, and though the sounds change, actually, for half the songs you get the core of WT to my opinion. So I'm not disappointed at all, and I don't think they're losing their way, so to speak... There is an obvious change in the style, but the quality is still there, musically speaking, so I'm not worried about them!
