@EightBall099 well i guess it wouldn't be that rare anymore, but i remember it confused me at the time, when the single was getting played(iron maiden actually got some decent play when this came out, i'm in alabama and it was played on the radio here) and when i got the album it was different. i about convinced myself that i must have made up this version but hey thanks to youtube i know i'm not crazy.

I like this version, but there are some parts I dont like, is how they enhance bruces voice in the chorus. I really think that Adrain could of done that, and I miss the little thing Dave does during the first or second chorus. The solo is better on the other version.

The reason they used this version for US promo and put the version without the extra lyrics on the record is purely based upon live performance. There's no way they'd have been able to duplicate the overdubs onstage. It's too bad--I agree with most of the people here that this is the better version of the song. I don't think it would have been a hit in the US without the call-and-response choruses.

@so2in10s4u - actually they could and did pull off this verison live. I saw them in Camden, NJ during the brave new world tour and this was the version they did. Backing vocals were supplied by Adrian. VERY disappointed afterwards when I bought the album and heard a different verison.
