I like this video. Despite what everyone says. It's exactly imagine what I imagined it to be. To me, it goes with the song, whether the video makes sense or not. I like videos like that. Check out Toro Y Moi's videos for "talamak" and "low shoulder." They both don't make any sense. But yet they are both really creative and unique. And fun! I bet it was fun making this too.

When I watched the Music Video DVD that came with the vinyl, this was the one video that stood out as the best one. The repetition of the guy getting his robe taken off, the Asian playing a Native American, and a dude stepping on a hula hoop on fire. I couldn't stop laughing! If you have a chance to watch the DVD, it is a great way to enjoy all the songs on Teen Dream.

Personally, I love the cameras used along with the inconsistency of character. I admit having trouble seeing how the video pertains to the song other than how we make decisions for quick thrills even when we know that pain that is sure to follow(such as cheating which is what the song is about). Still, its interesting to watch. I like to think they were trying to show us something that we wouldn't expect. To conform to expectation would make them less interesting as a group. Be open minded.

Well, I watch a lot of their vids often but when the album came out I was obsessed. I just love that there are still unique groups out there getting a decent amount of attention without having to use generic compositions. Fills me with optimism for the music industry. i believe beach house had a competition where anyone could enter and then they selected videos for songs from their album. unfortunately the videos chosen, in my opinion, are rubbish compared to the music. check out the video for walk in the park, its terrible, and disgusting too. for such great music, the videos just dont work. temper trap did a similar competition for their single "lovelost", but the contenders for that were much better.
