  • What you think determines how you live - cognitive psychology scientifically based

  • check out micheal t'sarion, hes far more believable

  • wot bollocks hes obviously never heard of mythra, n hundreds of other deities that have same or exact attributes, birth on dec 25th, ded for 3 days etc..giv us sumfin new, im going wiv the pantheists..tc x

  • God made Male and Female in his likeness? So God is a Hermaphrodite?

  • @TBlenx1995 When seen on a cosmological time scale (billions of years), if you trust what we humans have found out so far via science and reasoning rather than via "faith", the emergence of different sexes (two, four, or whatever) has only happened recently, and only in biological life forms. This stuff about a god being of a specific gender sounds very much like something human males would come up with, when telling stories in the desert. But believers, of course, put reason aside.

  • Do you notice how he liberally uses truth? Notice the guilt and change in the tones of his voice? This is a snake oil salesman. Drug dealers are less of a threat to humanity than this guy.

  • Jesus is different because He is the Savior of the world.

  • (continued)

It's the original sin of pride that got Lucifer kicked out of Heaven in the first place. There's nothing at all wrong with wanting to know WHY. But don't get angry when God doesn't decide to operate on your terms.

  • "If I'm the hope, that's not good news either."

Hm. What a guy. He has to rely on a fallacy to stay alive. No hope for himself, but hope for the supernatural.

  • he's missed out -6 humanism and -7 agnosticism. I can't stand this fascist, everything he says is prejudist.

  • @CarlosMarti123

hard for me to support? haha, easiest thing i ever had to do. Crusades, inquisition, terrorist attacks, raping of children, witch hunts, justification for slavery, holy wars, brainwashing kids, arranged marriages, human sacrifice, rape, suppresion of women and homosexuals...dude i could go on all day

  • God is an issue of internal revelation for each one of us.The way that God exposes his existence varies and usually can't be described with common words. For me it was a series of good ''coincidences'' that helped me overcome a big problem i was facing, but this for someone else might seems only as a matter of luck. I always had a respect for logic and cause ,but can't everything explained by these means whatever we like it or not. Some things are extremely extraordinary, the super natural exist

  • More lack of logic.

  • @CliffRFan

"I looked at the evidence for Christ's life, death, and resurrection, and through God's grace I was convinced" and Im guessing this so called evidence you read was the bible right? if you cant explain why you believe like you said, then your just wishfull thinking man, free yourself from the insanity of religion

  • @frandeman123

As opposed to the insanity of humanity?

  • @frandeman123 The insanity of religion?

Oh, so easy for you to say, so hard for you to support.

  • whao this church seems really "hip" (yes, that's sarcasm)

  • @specialjoelle

¨are based on faith, something that can't be proven or disproven, much like a mathematical or scientific theory in a way¨, this statement is wrong in so many ways. Science and math are not based on faith, they have been tested and proven true over and over again. 2+2=4, 6*2=12, body=millions of cells, earth=4 billion years old, humans=been around for 250,000 years. Did you even go to school, comeon man. PS every christian claims that they are a ¨real¨ christian...

  • are you a Christian because you used reason, logic, and evidence, which led you conclude its true? No, you are a Christian because of your environment growing up. If you were born in India you would be Hindu, Pakistan then Muslim, Ancient Greece you would believe in Zeus etc... so what makes your book story so much more possible than all the others humans have come up with. If you care about truth, do unbiased research and you will see that all religions are BS

  • @frandeman123 religions (or christianity at least, can't really say for any other religion unfortunately) are based on faith, something that can't be proven or disproven, much like a mathematical or scientific theory in a way. it's based on a truth that cannot be proven, but is believed anyway. and a REAL christian, one who truly believes and follows the teachings of christ, doesn't believe merely because of their environment, though they'd certainly be more likely to

  • @frandeman123 What you are asserting is baseless. I was brought up in Saudi Arabia. My parents are not Christians. I never wanted to be a Christian, I wanted to be a Muslim. But I ended up becoming a Christian. It's something I can't explain, just God's hand upon my life. I looked at the evidence for Christ's life, death, and resurrection, and through God's grace I was convinced. I approached it with reason, logic, and a quest for evidence. And God proved Himself, and continues to prove Himself.

  • @CliffRFan Amen. I was born into a Communist-minded family.God was never a big part of our lives and even to this day, I am the only Christian in my family. But the Lord sought after me and gave me understanding. He saved me and drew me and I can take no credit for it.May he help us all now, for his name's sake, to lay all down for him for he is worthy!! God bless you!!

  • @CliffRFan You are the exception, not the rule.

  • the Truth is that we would all be hopeless without Jesus Christ, and that is the absolute truth

  • @vanityvideo We are all without that myth. Most of us don't feel hopeless. If you feel hopeless, sort it out! Don't lean on a fairy story.

  • Let's pick the religion that makes us feel the best! Who cares about truth anyways?

  • @dreamtheater57123 Christianity talks about a creator someone who made us from the very dirt of the Earth who molded us an cared for us and than says to us "I love you". God doesn't make us feel the best he tells us we're the best and he tells us that we're his when we ourselves don't feel that we're worthy. Most of us are unworthy, and most of us feel unworthy, but the tremendous love of God is what matters most because he sees us differently. Look up "When sin looks more enjoyable than God" ^^

  • What hope does Christianity give when you're in constant fear that people you know are going to hell?

  • @shanellypooh Sounds like a poor reason to reject salvation. If everyone you loved suddenly decided to kill themselves, would you join them?

  • @OneEyedJack1970 what does that have to do with my question? Do you still have hope knowing that 70 percent of the current is going to hell? Can you really enjoy heaven knowing that far over 4 billion people will be tortured forever?

  • @shanellypooh It has everything to do with your question. If all your friends decided to kill themselves, would you join them? Or would you live the rest of your life glad that you didn't partake of such nonsense?

  • @OneEyedJack1970 I'm not saying I would throw myself into hell because everyone would be there. He says that Jesus is the hope in Christianity. I am asking why do you find hope in a religion that would torture people for eternity just because your god has an issue with a majority of people who have ever lived? In the bible your god kills over 2.5 million people, many of them are his own. Why do you find hope in a god that would destroy many people, even his own?

  • @shanellypooh The problem with your argument is that you are asking why God does something. Does God answer to you? Does God have to give you a reason why he does something? God is not held accountable to people, people are held accountable to God. The problem with people is that we have broken God's commandments. You say God kills over 2.5 million people in the bible. It is true God has killed people in the bible, but who gave people life? The question is, why do you not believe?

  • @Orcakite First of all my questions aren't arguments. I expect answers to them not more questions. Secondly, yes unlike you if god were to exist, I would expect him to be accountable for his actions just like everyone else. And to your last question, the reason I don't believe is because there isn't sufficient evidence. I could tell you more but I'll just give the short answer.

  • @shanellypooh I apologize if I wasn't being clear, and asking you questions. What I was trying to say was that God it accountable to no one. If God was accountable to someone, then that would mean that the person he was accountable to was greater than him and he would not be God. It doesn't make sense for God to be accountable to anyone, otherwise he would not be God (Job 38). You say there isn't sufficient evidence, so I want to ask you, how much evidence do you need?

  • @Orcakite The parent is accountable for their actions they take with their child. You are accountable for your actions when affect others. The child is not greater than the parent and others aren't greater than you. The only reason why God is not held accountable to his actions is because people choose to ignore or rationalize his negative actions. As far as evidence goes, I can't tell you how much I need. I'll know it when I see it and right now I don't see it.

  • @shanellypooh

So you think God should answer to you? Just who are you, and why should God answer to you? You've been around for an infinitesimal sliver of time, and know absolutely nothing about what's going on except on this little world.

  • @Jerkwad152 If God exists, I don't think that he should answer to just me. He should be held responsible for his actions like any other person.

  • @shanellypooh

Then by all means, take Him to court if you feel that strongly about it.

  • @Jerkwad152 To be honest, if it were possible I probably would.

  • @shanellypooh

First thing you should do, is get eternal life, then go create your own space-time continuum. Next, create a few universes. When you can do a better job than God, then you have the right to complain.

  • @Jerkwad152 I can already think of a few things. There would no disease, no natural disasters, and no people capable of doing evil. I would create only the people who would be deserving to go to heaven so I wouldn't have to create a hell. I wouldn't withold important information like the knowledge of good and evil or my existence. My messages would be clear and concise rather than easily misinterpreted through language barriers and parables. In my opinion this would be better.

  • @shanellypooh

In order for that to be possible, no one could have any free will whatsoever. God let us make our own choices, and what you see today is the end result of our doing. In the beginning, there was no death, no disease. Then Eve decided to break one relatively simple commandment. All she had to do was tell Satan to take a hike, and we wouldn't be having this discussion. And also, with a couple of exceptions, the Bible isn't mistranslated, and Jesus' parables are by no means hard.

  • @Jerkwad152 I think a restriction on free will isn’t a problem. If a murderer is restricted from killing someone I don't think anyone would complain about limiting his free will. In the story of exodus, God didn't seem to have a problem with it when he hardened the pharaoh's heart against his free will. Eve eating forbidden fruit does not justify the creation of death, disease, and hell. The punishment does not fit the crime especially when Eve didn’t have knowledge of morality until she ate the

  • @Jerkwad152 Cont'd fruit. There is a reason why children aren’t tried as adults. Their moral compass isn’t fully developed yet and in Eve’s case she didn’t even have one. My concern with the Bible is not the translation, it’s the interpretation. There are over 30,000 denominations some with their own unique interpretations. Some are even convinced that their own sect is the only way to get into heaven. That amount of confusion makes it difficult to be certain of what God really means.

  • @shanellypooh

But you think that He should be held accountable on human terms. You forget that He isn't human, and His reasons for creating us, letting us commit sin even though it would damn us, are beyond your comprehension. The mere sight of God would make you drop dead instantly, and if He told you His reasons, your mind would likely be burned out if you weren't killed.

  • @Jerkwad152 True, it is assumed that God isn't human but that does not permit God to abuse humanity. Even if we held God to God's terms he himself wouldn't make it to heaven. Since you say this is beyond my understanding please, enlighten me as to why it is important that we have the ability to sin. It malicious to create people, knowing that many are going to be tortured for all of eternity and then threaten them further when they want to know why. If there were good reasons, I'd follow him.

  • @shanellypooh

God doesn't abuse humanity. Most all the evil in the world can be traced to people, and the rest to Satan and his demons. And nowhere in the Bible does it say you'll be damned for having questions. Questions and doubt are two different things. SImple fact is, you're going to have to ask God yourself some of them if you get to Heaven. Another thing I'd like to point out is, attempting to bring God down to your level or raise yourself up to His is pure hubris.

  • @Jerkwad152 If God is truly the creator, all evil is linked back to him. You don't blame the faulty product for breaking, you blame the manufacturer. Since God created Satan and his demons, God shares the blame. As far as questioning goes you're confusing me, you say that having that certain knowledge from God would burn my mind out or kill me. I didn't say they were damned, but why are they threatened with death for questioning? Also, I don't mean to sound arrogant. I just call it as I see it.

  • @shanellypooh

Would you rather God didn't give anyone a choice?

  • @Jerkwad152 My preference isn't to eliminate choices for everyone. I would only like God to prohibit harmful choices. To reiterate what I said before, if a murderer wants to kill, it is not a bad thing to eliminate that specific choice. That person still has the choice to eat, sleep, or spend time with others if they choose to do so. Why do you see something wrong with this?

  • @shanellypooh

I'm afraid we'll just have to agree to disagree. But I do hope you keep an open mind. God bless you.

  • @Jerkwad152 Well I have enjoyed our discussion, I hope this isn't the last.

  • So, he's basically saying that Jesus is different because Christianity is true, which he proves by referring to the Bible? This video is like a logical black hole.

  • Yeah, Christianity is not a religion.

    How about that ?

  • 5:16m - 5:20m = four seconds of truth! ;-)

  • Atheism is not an ideology, it is a singular disbelief on a singular issue, i.e. the god hypothesis. Is not believing in fairies or unicorns an ideology? The scam artist above pushes a false ideology based on nothings. And he does it by skimming 10% off of the gullible's paycheck, by promising people life after death and being saved from imaginary sins put forth by the same book that tells this to you. What a ridiculous notion once you think about it.

  • DOn't listen to the wrong worded people !!! Thank you very much

  • “Christianity is not a world religion.”

Oh really? Ok. Thanks for the update mate.

  • *preaching

  • Like SUPERVANMAN64 said, keep on preching what you believe in and don't let these peple who don't know their right from their wrong decieve you. They'll say a lot of things but that's just because they're ignorant of the truth. You and I and all other true believers in Christ know our reward and what our end will be. We must try not to listen to others 'cause they obviously don't know the real truth about our Lord Jesus Christ. Remember to always seek first His kingdom and His righteousness!

  • I wish Mark Driscoll was able to see the comments on this video, with people yelling "oh, brainwashed people!" and calling him names for preaching what he believes. I would tell him to keep on keeping on. Don't listen to the condescending words of others. Keep on preaching the precious word of God.

  • Christianity is not different

watch my videos for further info

  • Why is it that people can bash Mark Driscoll so badly, yet if christians do the same to someone as Richard Dawkins, we're in the wrong?! Driscoll has extreme knowledge of The Bible whereas Dawkins has extreme knowledge of science. Both of these men believe that their respective arenas are correct. Respect both and choose for yourself.

Personally, Mark's message is one of hope from The Bible. I'm gonna go with that. I don't like thinking that I was accident along with everyone else.

  • @KBoe4 Natural selection is ANYTHING but an accident.

  • @KBoe4 this guy sucks

  • @summerfunteam Why? Because his views don't line up with yours?

  • @KBoe4 yes. Exactly. Putting others down and fighting over invisible beings. Religion mastered this thousands of years ago ;)

  • @summerfunteam Sorry you've had a bad experience with religion, most have. Choosing to follow Jesus is MUCH different, trust me.

  • @KBoe4 im not the only one. google the holocaust, the spanish inquisition, and the crusades. Basing your beliefs on something that cant be proven is a VERY bad idea. Its how wars get started. Billions have died over whos invisible god is real.

  • @summerfunteam Well, as much as you say christianity and Jesus can't be proven. Neither can the big bang or evolution.

Personally, with my faith, I'm not going to start a war. Yes, I follow the Bible, but I don't think people that say they do should be going out and trying to rally people together to assail some other group. That's a little extremist, radical type stuff there.

  • @KBoe4 big bang cannot be proven, its true but evolution is very much backed up scientifically proven. It occurs due to genetic mutation- fact. Limited resources-fact. Handing down of genotypes over generations-fact. It is a theory but so is gravity. It has been proven but evolution is so broad that it will take centuries to figure out the details. Its nice to see you are curious tho. Science beats religion

  • @summerfunteam

Science doesn't beat religion because they attempt to answer 2 different questions. Science attempts to discover how things are, how they behave etc. Religion answers the question why is there something, rather than nothing.

    God Bless.

  • @Millingtorres the definition of science: the use of knowledge and observations to explain the world by testable experiments. I agree, it is different. And science does explain why there is something. Conservation of energy. Read it.

    Science bless

  • @summerfunteam

The Conservation of Energy says that something can't come from nothing, right? You can't create or destroy energy. So why is there energy, rather than nothing? Science can't explain this because we'll never be in a state of nothing, to observe how something came from that nothing. This is what religion and philosophy attempt to explain this question, it's one science can't, and doesn't attempt to.

  • @Millingtorres why is there something rather than nothing? If there was nothing, we wouldnt be here to even think about it. i dont understand, why worry about something that is nothing. And the second part of the C of E is that matter as well as energy is neither created or destroyed. It does explain the origin, there isnt one. Its been there forever.

  • @summerfunteam

C of E doesn't explain the origin, and it doesn't attempt to as this isn't something science can or aims to find out. If you think it does, then you're mistaken as to what science is. C of E can't explain the origin as to why there is a universe with matter and energy, as opposed to absolute nothingness.

  • @Millingtorres matter and energy is everything that exists. And it is not created or destroyed. Very clear. I understand the whole something vs. nothing thing but I dont get why it matters because that isnt the case. There IS matter, why question why. The natural world doesnt have a motive.

  • @summerfunteam

It must have been created at some point, to say it´s just "always existed" seems a cop-out. And scientifically you can't know that it has always existed, your claim isn't scientific, it's a religious statement.

"The natural world doesnt have a motive". This is another religious/philosophical statement. And that is exactly why we should question is, humans seek meaning, reason and understanding. Is there a possibility that the universe was put into existence by something greater?

  • @Millingtorres what ever happened to matter isnt created and "you dont understand science"? Now you went from scientific law to magic. If the universe was created, who created the creator? Is it energy or matter? If it is either, he was always there, if it is none, it doenst exist. And the universe is abiotic and incapible of thought minus the life aspect which is unique.

  • Driscoll you're a pretentious dick. Do some research before bagging on every other 'ism'. Jesus was man, therefore had ego, so do you honestly think a 'man' can save us? We are here to live a life of our own. A life we choose. If we choose wrng and sin, then we are given a choice to repent. Don't think just because you believe in Jesus you are going to the 'good' place, because in the end, we are judged on who we are not what we believe in.

  • @Muddypants17 Not quite sure where to begin with your comment; for the sake of brevity, I will simply state this: Yes, Jesus was a "man" but not an ordinary man, like us. He was God in our flesh. Sure, if we do wrong in the eyes of God, we are, in deed given a chance to repent; however, the idea of sin and forgiveness becomes a cyclical/perpetual event dependent upon which comes first. To truly repent is to totally abstain from sin.

  • Quote "Christianity is not a world religion, it's the truth" what a load of bullshit. I could go all day on this guy. But me being a Deist I will not stoop to this guy's level.

  • this is bullshit, god made you in his image. so what about disabilities that's created by man, which does harm to a fetus? what about genetic disabilities?

" god made you to suffer w/o on no arms or legs"- a christian.

  • Why do ppl hate on Christianity so much? This guy is talking the truth. Atheist scream brainwash on every Christian video. Ridiculous. Im sure Einstien( a God believing Jew) the founding fathers of America and Newton were all brainwashed?

  • @Number062 Most Christians are brainwashed. And we live in 2010. You would have to be a complete idiot to depend Christianity at a time like this especially with all the things happening around the world which im sure you are not aware of.

  • @Number062 Einstein was not a practicing Jew, and he believed in God in an abstract way, NOT in a god that intervenes in human affairs at all. you would know this if you read what he has said about the subject.

  • more stupidity, wake up people...

  • I love how he says "would" and not will or has.

  • hahaha spread the lies of christianity brainwash the children molest young boys in the church... wait dont do that u sick fucks

  • holy dude... fuck you with the holy cross in your ass....

  • @santosh559 your a shit for brains.

  • Really cool video

  • the story of jesus is very similar to zoroastrianism and the life of horus except they came first. baptism, the son of man, lamb of god, the eucharist, blood sacrifice, etc etc they are all pagan constructs so christianity nor jesus can claim to be unique

  • The belief that we must be saved by an imaginary being instead of saving ourselves is precisely what makes Christianity inferior to the other examples you mentioned. It makes people passive and - like children - longing for someone else to fix their problems rather than taking action and doing something about it themselves. This is very dangerous and counterproductive and gives nothing but a false and empty sense of comfort.

  • @OutOfTheBoxThinker funny your thinking its not really out of the box....its the majority

  • @passkubalon : Maybe my view matches the majority view on this specific issue, however it's probably because it's the only view that makes any sense. Thinking outside of the box implies by default that you disagree with the mainstream on some issues and agree with the mainstream on other issues.

  • @OutOfTheBoxThinker the bible says very clearly that we as christians should work very hard.. in fact it says that whatever job we find to do we should do it with all our might

  • @chunktuff : So the bible makes sense here and there... Big deal. It's still quite poor advice overall speaking.

  • @chunktuff Sounds like slavery to me. God doesn't want us to work at our own pace? he wants us to push ourselves to the limit and suffer and feel stressed? What an asshole this god of your's is.

  • @pye333 i guess you hate when a parent tells their kid to "always give 110%" right? are they those things you mentioned as well then?

  • @chunktuff It depends on what your doing.

  • @pye333 it cant depend on anything when they say "always".. are you making excuses for parents but outright calling god bad names for saying the same thing?

  • @chunktuff Its impossible to call a non existent being names.

  • @pye333 uhh no it aint..

  • @chunktuff sure it is. If he doesnt exist then it wouldn't be name calling. And please don't tell me he does exist because if he did we wouldn't be were we are today.

  • @pye333 its our own fault that things got so bad.. god doesnt make this stuff happen but he lets it.. if god didnt exist i wouldnt be how i am today and in fact i would be much worse

  • @chunktuff Sounds like the same excuse all Christian's use. Please don't use yourself as an example that a god exists. We are who we are because we became this way not because were created this way.

  • @pye333 im not saying i was born like this.. im saying god changed me later and made me very much different than i used to be and there was only good that came of it.. he also gave me a new understanding of things i didnt have before.. all within a second or less and i have never been the same again

  • @chunktuff So now your saying that god made you who you are now and not yourself? I think thats absurd. We decide who we become. What we do decides the outcome of our future. Your understanding came from a book that could have been written by anyone. A book that has said has been modified a few times by various people. I don't need a book to tell me how to live a good life or some invisible hope in the sky that has no proof of existence.

  • @pye333 well thats up to you.. and im not saying he made me not myself.. im saying he made me my new self and i let him do it.. i didnt know that would happen but i let him do it anyway by accepting what he was wanting to do with me.. and sure what we do decides our future to an extent but at the same time what others do decides our future too

  • the Translation went from the Hebrew Name Salvation/Savior wich means Y'shua, and in aramaic Yeshua, wich you pronounce as Jesu in speaking language

in greek his name was translated to Le-souce wich u pronounce in speaking language as Lesu wich was translated from the Word Savior / Salvation

from greek to Latin Jesu to Ethiopian Jesus wich is stil used today with the Same meaning our Savior

do not be Deceived again my friend Jesus loves u, God bless

  • @derekh

it seems the false teachings already got into you?

Jesus is not derived from Zeus, as you want to believe in. thats a false statement that was written by Non believing people who wanted to mock the Lord

i will explain in the next comment

  • Je sus is not The Hebrew Messiah Name. There is no letter "J" in the Hebrew Tex. The Letter "J" is not even older than 500 years yet 2,000 ago .The Name "je sus" is not even a Hebrew Name., and cannot be consider a possible name for The "Anointed One " .

Strong's Concordance reference #2424 (Greek) which leads to reference #3091, the original Hebrew name is (Yahushua).

There is only one name that is the true Name, and that would be the Hebrew-based Name

  • Dictionary of Christian Lore and Legend, by J. C. J. Metford:

"It is known that the Greek name endings of sus, seus, and sous (phonetic pronunciations for Zeus) were attached by the Greeks to names and geographical areas as a means to give honor to their supreme deity, Zeus. Examples given are: Parnassus, a sacred mountain in Greece: the Greek deity of wine and son of Zeus, Dionysus; the Greek hero of the Trojan war was Odysseus, and the Greek deity of healing was Iesous or the Latin Iesus/Jesus

  • I'm not asking you to reufute anything. I just asked why you're ranting on Christianity.

  • Why do you have such a desire to disprove Christianity xTRUExHATEx?

  • Mithra 600 BCE (600 years before Christ): -born of a virgin on December 25th. -a great traveling teacher and master. -12 companions or disciples. -performed miracles. -buried in a tomb. -after three days he rose again. -resurrection was celebrated every year. -called "the Good Shepherd." -identified with both the Lion and the Lamb. -sacred day was Sunday -principal festival on what was later to become Easter, at which time he was resurrected. -religion had a Eucharist or "Lord's Supper."
  • Looks like someone watched the Zeitgeist movie. There are a lot of lies, look it up...and don't just stop when you find something that looks good to you.

  • Never heard of it. Care to point out any specific problems with my lists, or do you just yell "Lies!" and run away?

  • I just yell lies and run away.

  • Actually, though Mithra predated Christ, none of those doctrines arose until the 2nd century, probably influenced by the huge growth in Christianity.

Not to mention there's no evidence or corroboration to the tales of Mithra like there are for Jesus.

  • @xTRUExHATEx

If you want to talk about these people, message me and I'll refute everyone, because it'll take me forever to post it continually through these small comment boxes.

  • Horus 3100 BCE (3100 years before Christ): -born of a virgin on December 25th in a cave/manger, with his birth being announced by a star in the East and attended by three wise men. -was a child teacher in the Temple and was baptized when he was 30 years old. -baptized by "Anup the Baptizer" -had 12 disciples -performed miracles and raised one man, El-Azar-us, from the dead. -walked on water. -transfigured on the Mount. -crucified, buried in a tomb and resurrected. -was called a lamb -god's son
  • definatly zeitgeist lol

  • what kind of bullshiznit are you talkin fool. you can tell me whatever the heck you want, but no one has influenced me as much as Jesus. so w/e half drunk arcs are going to dig up, me na care, ca ya don know Jesus a de gargon fireel. take your idiocy and throw it in the garbage and think properly. God bless you

  • so that means the old testament is wrong? Isn't jesus's coming supposed to clarify the old testament?

  • not clarify. fulfill the old testament

  • i have a question. I understand the purpose of christianity, or religion for that matter. But what difference does it make to believe in a religion if you think you're already a good person? Because I can only be as "good" as i can at this moment, regardless if i have Christ or not.

  • Well guy, the purpose of christianity is not to be one more religion to make you a better person, considering that christianity is about the words and dids of Jesus Christ.

If we want to undersand the purpose of christianity, we should listen to what Jesus said that was his purpose, and he already said:

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." - John 3:16

  • yes but its all in the interpretation and this is somewhat lacking in christianity as it stands today

  • @1000lol1000

I would really like someone to explain Why Jesus had to die on the cross for our sins? How does this help our sin-nature? If we are still sinful, then his death has done nothing note-worthy?

  • Jesus represents a perfect sacrifice to replace your sin act just as the animal sacrifice represented your sin act. However now Jesus dwells in us. We no longer follow the letter of the law but the spirit of the law: love God and love your neighbor. If you pattern your life this way. you are following God's law. When you do sin your belief in Jesus (faith) and God's grace saves you. Jesus' death and ressurection makes our atonement for sin an internal process not an external process.

  • religion is irrelevant.. Christ removed all delusion of SELF from his heart and mind and became SELFLESS.. thus the one true God was born in him.

Jesus came to teach us how to be selfless, he gave us the exact methods to achieve this.. the bible as it stands today is a distorted version of his truth.. ALL paths that invole the cultivation of selflessness lead to GOD..

REMOVE SELF.. BECOME SELFLESS and u will be the best that humanity has to offer.. this is all God wants from you .. YOU

  • yea, you can only be "so good". no one is perfect. &thats where Jesus comes in play. in addition to our human efforts He helps us through His love. and He forgives us.

  • so you're saying jesus comes into play: meaning he "makes" us perfect? but isn't that impossible? thats like us trying to achieve enlightenment through buddism

  • We cant not sin. that's our nature. its like walking or breathing. but due to his love & power we can sin less. and sin nonetheless. and for that be forgiven.

  • Your right, its completely impossible...unless its God Himself that does it. Since we have rebelled against God (sinned) the only way for us to be rightly and justly judged by God, is for Him to inflict His wrath upon us and send us to hell. So there are two qualifications we must achieve to escape that. 1. be perfect. 2. Gods wrath be satisfied....so God being rich in His mercy sent Himself into human history and fulfilled both of those qualifications for us by His life and His death. Grace:)

  • And see my friend, THAT is the difference. You can only be as 'good' as you can be at this moment when you DON'T have Christ. When you DO have Christ however, that's a whole new level. It's like millions of doors opening.

But really, the point is not to be a good person. The point is that Jesus/God always loved us from the start. We chose to take Him for granted, just like we do to our loved ones these days. We gave in to our curiosity, never trusted Him. He died to get that message to us.

  • No I understand what your saying but what Im saying is that Jesus can't be a path for all religions but a path for all people. If you do not trust jesus on the cross your sins have not been attoned for. Have you ever wondered why in the new testament there is nearly 0 commands when in the old testament there is nothing but commandments. Because Jesus proved that we can not follow the law to eternal life. All other world religions say you need to follow rules where Jesus says "PAID" forchristians

  • i trust jesus on the cross... i am his to do with what he wants.

all world religions do say for u to follow rules.. but they secret is without rules.. religions have been manipulated. You see religion is a man made thing.. and most man cant be trusted with anything

all religions have the key .. cos the key is inside us.. it is whereever we are. its not the religion that has the secret. it is us. there will alway be ppl who know the secret and there will always be ppl who hear it..

  • plese dont think im trying to convert u to my way of thinking.. u just asked for me to explain so i have.. i have no interest in you seeing things from my perspective.. it makes no difference to me. its not important.

belive what u believe and with an open heart and mind. Pray for God to show u the truth of his message. abandon all thoughts in ure prayers..all opinions. all judgements. all ideas. just ask and wait with an open mind. ure mind must be empty. then see what GOD fills it with

  • you cup MUST be empty. empty of EVERYTHING.. then just ask.. wait and see what happens.

" Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock and the door will be answered unto u"

dont ask and then tell god what u want to hear :) dont seek and think u already know what ure gonna find :) .. dont knock the door and think you know whats going to happen when it opens"

    this is faith..

  • give GOD everything.. all u have

    surrender

    give yourSELF to him

  • 8 If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well:

  • myfacevids

Actually I do. There is always Hope for you dude. Never will I forget that day. God Bless.

  • myfacevids

    You never knew Jesus Christ.

  • krinorik, actually no one knew jesus, including you ;)

  • @krinorik

i love jesus.. but im not a christian

i dont believe christianity has the monoploly on truth

  • Hello justcornelius!

The term "Christian" is a two part word. First part "Christ" is talking about Christ Jesus. The second part "ian" means, one belonging to the party of, (it comes out of Antioch during the early church). So Christian means "one belonging to the party of Christ."

The term Christian has been drug through the mud. I understand. I personally don't have a problem with the term Christian. Jesus is the Way to Salvation and that is what is important. God Bless you brother!

  • jesus is the way to salvation.. he taught the path to salvation... but the path has been hidden.. the secret has been supressed and now all we have is a portion of his great message to humanity. enough to save us but not the whole truth. enough for u to feel his love but not enough to trigger the explosion of love that jesus offered us. If all the christians in the world knew the secret they would walk out of their homes tommorrow and leave everything. the would know only love and see only HIM

  • can I ask how you can love Jesus but not love the church or be a christian. Also why do you believe that christianity cannot hold a monopoly on truth?

I am just interested in knowing where you are coming from.

  • I love jesus.. he is the embodiment of compassion and love.. he is the embodiment of gods willing sacrifce.. i worship him not the church created bible. jesus's teachings were supressed as they were causing SEVERE unrest in the roman empire. they would now too if ppl knew them.. but the truth is hidden. Fortunatly u dont need a book to find the secret.. its inside u . u just need to know how to turn the key.

"He who has ears to hear, let him hear"

  • Can you explain how the bible was suppressed? The book of Luke was written about 60 years after Jesus died and given to a Roman Emperor who paid Luke to research the claims of Christianity. There is a ton of evidence that the bible was not changed or anything suppressed.

  • the bible wasnt supressed.. the secret was.. look into how the bible was formed and WHO CHOSE THE BOOKS WRITTEN IN IT. not even all the ppl who worte the books or supressed the secret knew what they were doing.

even when jesus was alive he never public spoke of the deeper myteries.. he only told them to those who had ears to hear. there is a key and the key must be turned once the key is turned the mesage appears IN EVERYTHING .. when u know u laugh at how u never saw it in the first place.

  • ofcourse christians dont have a monopoly on the truth.. u think god gave his secret to just one ppl ? haha why so ?

have u ever heard of divide and rule? all the differences in religion hve been put there by MAN. conciously or unconsciously to try and stop us finding god

u see the secret jesus taught is the same in EVERY RELIGION.. they all have this same hidden secret. and the secret is word for word the same.. it is god true message to mankind.. hidden until the time is right.

  • I can love jesus because he is the EMBODIMENT of gods message.. he was the message IN ACTION.. he is the way the truth the light and noone goes to the father but through him" .. through his message.

but u see most ppl dont want to know the message.. they want to be SAVED.. that is all.. jesus said LOVE THEM AS I HAVE LOVED YOU. Are christians are the world doing this today?no.. most wouldnt know jesus if he fell on them. why cant they love as he has loved. COS THEY HAVENT BEEN TOLD HOW TO!!!

  • Im sorry because your arguements are very confusing. At one point you claim that Jesus is "the way the truth and the light. and no one goes to the father but through him" but turn around and claim that there can't be just one way.

As far as following gods way. If some one claims to be christian and doesn't follow gods word or wouldn't know jESUS if he fell in their lap... well they aren't christians to begin with. true christians are trying to love as god has loved them.

  • ofcourse its confusing... u dont have the key .. Jesus IS THE WAY..he was the emodiment of THE WAY.. and the WAY.. THE WAY CAN BE FOUND IN ALL RELIGIONS.. JESUS CAN BE FOUND IN ALL RELIGIONS

u think of him as a man on a cross.. and yes he was.. but oh he was soo much more.. and that is what christianity doesnt go into.. It pointx to the path but then fails to give u the map.. the path is so powerful it will save u just by looking at it.. but if u want to obey jesus u have to walk the path.

  • and yes ure right.. they are not christians.. and true christian DO TRY and love as he has loved

but u arent told how.. ure told forgive, love, be compassionate and wise. this is all well and good but jesus gave is the key that when turned allows all these things to flow from us effortlessly.. there is a key that when turn causes a tranformation in the mind and soul, causes an explosion of realisation so intense that u can never be the same agian. once turn love will flow from u like a river

  • it not just christianity.. the secret is also hidden in EVERY RELIGION... which leaves me to believe that GOD doesnt quite want the secret going mainstream just yet haha It so simple to see once u know what it is.. and i dotn mean know withure mind.. i mean KNOW IT, KNOW IT with your heart body and soul. when u see the secret as truth.. then the magic starts to happen. You see u can read the secret and it wont do anything.. you need ears to hear it

  • fuddam As for strange notions of christianity. which christianity, there is many interpretations, you mean the one that reflects your thinking :)... As for authority.. what authority do you speak in? what authority does anyone speak in? even if I was to say the authority of God, you would deny it, so it matters not, as long as you think you God rejected you and then saved you when you decided to believe you will always feel others have to tow the line like you did. You misunderstand God

  • continued..... You dont want to be hogging the limelight because you think it takes away from God, yet that is because you think God is over there and your over here ( seperated ). You are not, and you never were seperated from God, God is all there is and all there was, like the sun, you are a part of the sun and how can a part of the sun take away from the sun itself, or be more than the sun itself. Let go of the doom teaching and death, the end is not in doubt

  • Check out those sweet clothes and the bling he bought with our church money.

Why does he try to point out flaws in other faiths?

Is he insecure about his own?

Yet again, I am embarrassed to call myself a Christian.

  • lol. talk about logs and eyes. you surely have clothes that match the cost of what he is wearing, and hopefully you earned the cash to buy them - has he not
